Abstract: A method, system and device for determining the properties of hair and skin. The method, system and device facilitates the selection and application of an application of a product to the hair or skin of an individual to achieve a desired target result. The hair or skin properties measured may include the hair composition and chemical components of the hair, as well as substances that may coat the hair, and other substances on, absorbed or adsorbed on or into the hair. A hyper-spectral imaging component is employed to obtain information from the hair or skin and that information is used to provide a produce used to produce the target result.

Abstract: Methods, apparatus, systems, and computer-readable media are provided for transferring dialog sessions between devices using deep links. The dialog sessions can correspond to interactions, mediated by an automated assistant, between a user and a third party application. During the dialog session, a user can request that the dialog session be transferred to a different device, for example, to interact with the third party application through a different modality. In response, the automated assistant and/or the third party application can generate a link that can be transferred to the transferee device to allow the transferee device to seamlessly take over the dialog session. In this way, computational resources and electrical power can be preserved by not requiring a recipient device to re-process natural language inputs previously provided during the dialog session.

Abstract: A method includes providing a server including a memory and a processor coupled to the memory; defining a plurality of databases in the memory, the databases including fields for respective client matters, and the databases including a plurality of notes for respective matters, the notes including text, and the databases including a plurality of buzzwords; associating respective buzzwords with descriptive pages; generating a user interface including a text editing screen area in which a user can type text for a note, the text including a plurality of terms; comparing terms to the buzzwords and, in response to a term matching a buzzword, indicating that the matching term is a buzzword in the user interface. Abstract: The technology disclosed herein may determine timing windows for speech captions of an audio stream. In one example, the technology may involve accessing audio data comprising a plurality of segments; determining, by a processing device, that one or more of the plurality of segments comprise speech sounds; identifying a time duration for the speech sounds; and providing a user interface element corresponding to the time duration for the speech sounds, wherein the user interface element indicates an estimate of a beginning and ending of the speech sounds and is configured to receive caption text associated with the speech sounds of the audio data.

The support insulator has an arm extending from the insulator body, the arm having a slot on an end thereof. Depending on the mounting of the support insulator, the slot can receive a resistance wire as a portion of a coil break-turn, a wire as part of a coil section, a part of a lead wire, or a part of a run of resistance wire that is not a coil break-turn or coil section.

Abstract: Provided is an electronic component mounting structure and method for mounting electronic components on the side of a printed circuit board by means of simple fabrication and enlarging the surface area for mounting electronic components. A cut face of a conductive plating layer, which is obtained by cutting along a via in which a conductive plating layer covering an inner wall face of a via hole is electrically connected to a conductive pattern layer of the printed circuit board, is exposed at a cut end face and used as a land pattern which is solder-connected to a mount connecting portion of the electronic component. The end face at which the land pattern is exposed is a surface parallel to the side of the printed circuit board, and therefore electronic components can be mounted on the end face parallel to the side.

Abstract: Methods, apparatus, systems, and computer-readable media are provided for generating and applying outgoing communication templates. In various implementations a corpus of outgoing communications sent by a user may be grouped into a plurality of clusters based on one or more attributes of a context of the user. One or more segments of each outgoing communication of a particular cluster may be classified as fixed in response to a determination that a count of occurrences of the one or more segments across the particular cluster satisfies a criterion. One or more remaining segments of each communication of the particular cluster may or may not be classified as transient. Based on sequences of classified segments associated with each communication of the particular cluster, an outgoing communication template may be generated to automatically populate at least a portion of a draft outgoing communication being prepared by the user.

The device includes first and second shape-memory outer platforms, the outer platforms expanding at a temperature greater than the transformative temperature, a core member having first and second expansion bodies and first and second wedge members, the first expansion body being coupled to the first outer platform and the second expansion body being coupled to the second outer platform, and a screw rotatably disposed within the core member, the screw passing through at least a portion of each of the first and second wedge members. Rotation of the screw causes the first and second wedge members to move toward each other and the first and second expansion bodies to move away from each other. Thus, reaching a transformation temperature and rotating the screw expands the device to come in contact with and anchored against both of the adjacent vertebrae.

Abstract: A switch assembly features an automatic switch and an electronic circuit board. The automatic switch has a common contact and a normally open switch contact to short when a boiler has sufficient water, and has the common contact and a normally closed switch contact to short when the boiler has a low water level. The electronic circuit board has a signal processor, a reset switch, and a low water status LED for providing a status indication of a low water condition that remains ON even if the water level has risen unless the reset switch is reset. The signal processor couples to the common contact, the normally closed switch contact and the normally open switch contact, senses signaling containing the status of the common contact, the normally closed switch contact and the normally open switch contact, provides corresponding signaling to turn ON the low water status LED when the water level is low, and responds to a reset switch signal and turn OFF the low water status LED.

Abstract: A memory system uses a dynamic RAID scheme to dynamically encode RAID address space geometries. The dynamic RAID scheme solves issues with the algorithmic layout approach and flat virtual address space used in conventional RAID systems. The dynamic RAID scheme can be used for any RAID algorithm and does not require static mapping. In other words, there is no requirement that each strip be located in the same relative location in memory devices and there is no requirement that stripes use the same combination of memory devices.
