Abstract: A circuit for stealing power from an external system without interfering with a communication protocol includes a plurality of wiring connectors configured to receive a plurality of wires, where the plurality of wiring connectors receive a plurality of current levels set by the external system according to the communication protocol; a first voltage regulator to regulate a voltage on the plurality of wiring connectors at a plurality of voltage levels according to the communication protocol; a current monitor to measure the plurality of current levels received through the plurality of wiring connectors; a second voltage regulator that provides a current-limiting output; and a power converter that optimizes an amount of power stolen from the plurality of wiring connectors based on the current-limiting output.

Abstract: Improved dental appliances and polymeric sheet compositions are disclosed. The polymeric sheet compositions are useful for making dental appliances having outer layers comprised of a material having a modulus of from about 1,000 MPA to 2,500 MPA (“hard”) and an inner core comprised of elastomeric material or materials having a modulus of from about 50 MPa to 500 MPa (“soft”), which exhibit improved flexibility and strength, and better stain and tear resistance than currently available materials and dental appliances.

Abstract: Systems and methods providing vehicle access using identified biometric data are provided herein. An example method includes storing a first biometric input for a user in a database; receiving a ride reservation from the user, the ride reservation having at least a pickup location; activating a biometric input device associated with a vehicle when the vehicle arrives at the pickup location to obtain a second biometric input for the user; authenticating the user by comparing the first biometric input with the second biometric input; and granting access to the vehicle when the first biometric input substantially matches the second biometric input.

In this regard, each cartridge of the plurality of cartridges comprises a set of conveyor belts configured to move in a direction along the conveyor bed at a defined speed. Further, in accordance with some example embodiments, a cartridge of the plurality of cartridges is configured to be removed from the conveyor bed without removing an adjacent cartridge from the plurality of cartridges. The video file includes an original language audio soundtrack with dialogue and non-dialogue audio. The processor aligns the non-dialogue audio from the alternate audio soundtrack with the non-dialogue audio from the original language audio soundtrack and aligns the alternate audio soundtrack with the film based on the alignment of the non-dialogue audio from the alternate audio soundtrack with the non-dialogue audio from the original language audio soundtrack.

Abstract: Embodiments of the invention include a method for making a partially bonded optical fiber ribbon. The method includes providing a linear array of optical fibers, and applying a bonding matrix material randomly to at least a portion of at least two adjacent optical fibers. The bonding matrix material is applied randomly to the adjacent optical fibers in such a way that the linear array of optical fibers forms a partially bonded optical fiber ribbon. The bonding matrix material applied randomly to the adjacent optical fibers is dense enough to allow the resulting partially bonded optical fiber ribbon to lay substantially flat. Also, the bonding matrix material applied randomly to the adjacent optical fibers is sparse enough to allow the resulting partially bonded optical fiber ribbon to be rolled into a substantially circular shape.

The level of sunlight can be mapped to a geographical area to generate a map of shaded areas, and based on a temperature within the autonomous vehicle being outside a temperature range, the autonomous vehicle can be routed based on the map of shaded areas to bring the autonomous vehicle within the temperature range.

The environmental control being directed and performed by an environmental control unit that can include one or more fans, a control module, a mounting plate, and a directional manifold to control the direction of the airflow. The environmental control unit can be installed using a method that includes attaching a fan unit to the mounting plate, connecting the fan unit to the control module, coupling to the fan unit and/or the control module to a power supply, and attaching a directional manifold to control the direction of airflow in or out of the fan unit.
