  • Patent number: 10842430
Abstract: Eye fatigue from looking too long at a computer monitor can not only cause physical symptoms, it can also reduce productivity. Eye tracking is used to determine potential eye fatigue. After potential eye fatigue is determined, an eye fatigue mitigation action is triggered. Eye fatigue mitigation action can including providing a notification, blurring a screen, and blanking a screen. Eye tracking can also be used to verify that a user has taken an eye fatigue mitigation action, such as diverted looking from a screen for a sufficient amount of time. By implementing eye fatigue mitigation actions, symptoms can be reduced and/or productivity increased.

  • Patent number: 10814222
Abstract: A gaming controller is provided. The gaming controller includes a controller; a plurality of input positions; and a plurality of input modules, each input module configured to receive user input to the gaming controller. The plurality of input modules are connected to the controller to form a ring network. Each of the plurality of input modules is connected to the ring network through a different one of the input positions. The controller is configured to initiate a transmission of a data packet around the ring network, and each input module is configured to enter data into a different section of the data packet. Each input module is configured to determine the section of the data packet to enter data into based on one or more of (1) a type of that input module and (2) whether one or more sections of the data packet already include data from one of the input modules.

  • Patent number: 10789181
Abstract: In some embodiments a transceiver is configured to wirelessly transfer data between a host computing device and one or more peripheral devices over a communication path using a communication data construct comprising a packet structure arranged in a repetitive communication structure. The repetitive communication structure can include a transmit time window within which the host transmits data to the one or more connected peripheral devices and a receive time window within which the host receives data from the one or more connected peripheral devices. A duration of the receive time window is set based on a predetermined communication report rate between the host computing device and the one or more connected peripheral devices. A new peripheral device is added as a connected peripheral device when the new peripheral device transmits a request to the host to be added as a connected peripheral device and the receive time window has time available to add the new peripheral device.

  • Patent number: 10754416
Abstract: In certain embodiments, a sensing and tracking system detects objects, such as user input devices or peripherals, and user interactions with them. A representation of the objects and user interactions are then injected into the virtual reality environment. The representation can be an actual reality, augmented reality, virtual representation or any combination. For example, an actual keyboard can be injected, but with the keys pressed being enlarged and lighted.

  • Patent number: 10749368
Abstract: A method of operating a computer mouse includes receiving electromagnetic (EM) radiation emitted from a source external to the computer mouse, the received EM radiation induces noise within one or more bands of noise frequencies and an image sensor circuit of the computer mouse generates erroneous movement detection signals in response to an operating frequency of the image sensor circuit being within the one or more bands of noise frequencies. The method further includes determining the operating frequency of the image sensor circuit, comparing the operating frequency to a target frequency, wherein the target frequency is outside of the one or more bands of noise frequencies, and tuning the operating frequency of the image sensor circuit towards the target frequency.
