Abstract: Embodiments describing a method of forming a multi-layered keycap structure are disclosed herein. The method includes forming a first polymer layer on a second polymer layer, wherein the first polymer layer includes a first color and the second polymer layer includes a second color, and coupling the first polymer layer and second polymer layer to a substrate layer such that the first polymer layer is closer to the substrate than the second polymer layer. The method may further include forming a third polymer layer on the second polymer layer; and etching the multi-layered keycap structure to form an opening having a bottom surface that exposes at least one of the first or second color.
Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein generally include a system and a method of causing an electronic device to perform one or more desirable functions or processes based on the physical movement of the electronic device. In one embodiment, the physical movement of a first electronic device is part of a physical interaction process completed between a first electronic device and a second electronic device. The information gained from at least the physical movement part of the physical interaction process can then be used to cause at least the first electronic device to perform one or more desirable functions or processes. Some aspects of the disclosure provided herein may include an apparatus, method and/or computing device software application that is configured to more easily setup and reliably control an electronic device based on the physical movement of the electronic device and/or the interaction of the electronic device with another electronic device.
Abstract: A computer-implemented method for programming a universal control system includes generating a list of devices associated with a network; based on configuration data and statistical data associated with a first set of devices included in the list of devices, generating programming for a first activity to be performed via the network, wherein first activity is associated with the first set of devices included in the list of devices, and the programming is associated with a device configuration for the first set of devices and includes commands for transmission to the first set of devices by the universal control system; and causing the programming for the first activity to be stored, wherein, when the first activity is selected, the device configuration for the first set of devices is implemented.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a headphone or speaker assembly that contains two or more audio components that are configured to be magnetically coupled together by use of a complementary magnetic pole configuration in the headphone or speaker assembly to provide one or more useful functions. These useful functions may include elements that are able to sense that the two or more audio components are in contact with each other, or are at least proximate to each other, so that their audio playback capability can be suspended while they are in this unused state. A sensor located within one of the components can detect a change in the magnetic field and generate an electronic signal indicating a clasped condition.

Abstract: An input device including a housing and a depressible key plate disposed thereon. The key plate includes a front user-accessible portion, a pivot support portion, and a rear portion. A shaft is disposed in the pivot support portion, where the key plate rotates with respect to the shaft. A force sensor is disposed in the housing and in contact with a bottom surface of the front portion of the key plate, and activates in response to receiving a predetermined force by the bottom surface of the front portion of the key plate. The depressible key plate depresses in response to receiving a predetermined depression force on the top surface. A biasing mechanism is disposed in the housing and in contact with the bottom surface of the rear portion of the key plate to provide an upward force tuned to be substantially equal to the predetermined depression force.

Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosure provided herein are configured to desirably distribute and thus withstand forces that are applied to an audio device assembly during regular use. The configurations discussed herein can be used to prevent the various device related components from becoming damaged during use. The application of these forces can cause immediate failure of the electrical connections in extreme cases, or more typically cause eventual failure of the electrical connections and device due to repetitive application of the applied force. Therefore, it is desirable to minimize the stress applied to the various electrical connection points during use, such as the electrical connection points.

Abstract: A method and system for adaptively configuring a remote control includes analyzing a log of events, maintained by the remote control, which indicate how the remote control and the devices it controls are used by a user. Once the analysis is performed, the system and method can suggest alternative configurations of the remote control to the user. The range and type of alternative configurations is not particularly limited and can include changing which devices are employed for various user activities and/or how those activities are performed, the placement and hierarchy of commands in a menu tree and/or troubleshooting and set up configurations. The analysis can be performed either partially or totally within the remote control, or at, or in conjunction with, a service to which the remote control connects through a network.
