Abstract: A seamless ball structure, particularly suitable for balls used in different ball games, such as soccer, volleyball and basketball, includes an inner bladder, and an inner yarn layer, an emulsion layer and an outer cover layer sequentially provided on an outer surface of the inner bladder from inner to outer side. The emulsion layer inwardly permeates into voids among the yarns of the inner yarn layer. The outer cover layer is attached at an inner fabric layer thereof to an outer surface of the emulsion layer. The emulsion layer being heated and pressurized is in an adhering state to sufficiently tightly attach to the inner yarn layer and the outer cover layer, giving the ball so formed an increased structural strength. The ball can be easily and quickly manufactured at reduced manufacturing cost to thereby provide an improved ball structure that does not require any sewing with threads.

Abstract: A carbon brush holder includes an insulated housing having a through hole with a first section, a second section and a stepped portion between the first and second sections. A carbon brush-holding member is inserted into the first section of the insulated housing and has a first end face, a second end face opposite to the first end face, and an insertion portion adjoined with the second end face. The insertion portion of the carbon brush-holding member extends into the second section of the insulated housing, thereby enabling the second end face of the carbon brush-holding member to be located in the second section of the insulated housing. Thus, the second end face of the carbon brush-holding member can firmly contact a conductive member that is disposed inside the second section of the insulated housing and electrically connected with a carbon brush inserted into the carbon brush-holding member.

Abstract: Enhanced compound pendulums provide thermal compensation and/or barometric compensation, such as for a mechanical clock system. The enhanced compound pendulums are simple to construct, and can be more easily compensated than conventional, single-bob pendulums. The enhanced compound pendulums typically comprise material that is added above the point of rotation. Thermal expansion factors for components of the enhanced compound pendulums may preferably be chosen to provide thermal compensation to the first order. In some embodiments of enhanced compound pendulums, volume is added above the pivot to provide barometric compensation, such as by equalizing the moments above and below the pivot, or by providing geometric symmetry above and below the pivot, with a lower density above the pivot.

Abstract: An optical tweezers lifting apparatus is provided. The optical tweezers lifting apparatus includes an optical tweezers and a particle-lifting device. The particle-lifting device includes a substrate and a plurality of electrodes that are disposed on the bottom of a flow path in the substrate. When a dielectrophoresis (DEP) solution with a plurality of floating particles is conducted into the flow path and upon those electrodes and a voltage is applied to these electrodes, these particles would be driven by a negative DEP force to move upward to a specific depth in the flow path. Meanwhile, the optical tweezers of the apparatus is selectively focused at the specific depth in the flow path.

Abstract: A collector ring unit includes a base, and a plurality of insulated spacer rings sleeved onto the base respectively and each having a ring body, a plurality of through holes through the ring body, and a notch formed on the ring body. A plurality of conductive slip rings are respectively sleeved onto the ring bodies of the insulated spacer rings and each have a socket. A plurality of conductive trips each have one end inserted into the socket of one conductive slip ring and received in the notch of one insulated spacer ring, and the other end passing through the through holes of the other insulated spacer rings and protruded out of the outermost insulated spacer ring. By means of addition or reduction of the numbers of the spacer rings, slip rings and conductive strips, the dimension of the collector ring unit of the invention can be changed.

Abstract: An anti-freezing hydrant is provided with a hollow valve rod of which a back end is provided with a lump formed with an oblique cone where a water leakage hole is formed communicating with the valve rod. A one-way valve is provided in a inner water inlet in a valve chamber of a valve and comprises a rubber cushion being made of a soft rubber and thus elastically suppressing the inner water inlet. The bore of a back pressure stopper in a back pressure is a complement of an inner inclined cone with the oblique cone. Thus, the rubber cushion may enhance the capability of sealing of the valve. Further, the back pressure stopper may also be a good sealant for the inclined cone.

Abstract: A multi-function customer satisfaction survey device, system, and method. A restaurant management system includes a plurality of electronic tip trays and a base unit. Each of the tip trays electronically obtains and stores customer contact information, customer payment information, and responses to a customer satisfaction survey. A data transceiver wirelessly transmits the information to the base unit. The base unit collects the information and sends the contact information to a correspondence server such as an e-mail server. The payment information is sent to an external authorization network and/or the restaurant's POS system. The survey responses are sent to an analysis unit. Particularly adverse or positive responses may be matched through the POS system to a food server and a food order.

Abstract: A bearing system comprises a support member and a rotational element having a generally cylindrical bearing surface, and a plurality of detents defined upon and extending in from the cylindrical bearing surface, and may include means for rotating the rotational element in relation to the support member. The bearing system also comprises at least three bearing assemblies, each comprising a cam member rotatably mounted to the support member. Each of the cam members comprises a cam surface having a profile that contacts the cylindrical bearing surface and rotates away from a home position when the cam is rotatably positioned to meet one of the bearing regions, and does not contact the cylindrical bearing surface when the cam is rotatably positioned to meet one of the detent regions. Each of the cam members are rotationally biased toward their home position.

Abstract: A connecting device for curtain wall units is disclosed. The connecting device comprises: a claw arm having a horizontal arm for carrying the curtain wall units; a plurality of clamping plates, each two clamping plates fixed on the horizontal arm to clamp the curtain wall units; and a claw base connected to the claw arm and a supporting structure of the curtain wall units. The weight of curtain wall is supported by the claw arm of the connecting device, and point-supported type clamping of the curtain wall is realized by the clamping plates on the end of the claw arm, which enables the stability and security of the structure of curtain wall. The claw arm is hidden in the space between the curtain walls, and thus the whole appearance of curtain wall is beautified. Furthermore, it is unnecessary to provide through holes on the glass wall units.

The manual operating member is rotatable between locking and unlocking positions and is provided with a second protrusion. The first protrusion pushes the second protrusion to permit rotation of the manual operating member between the locking and unlocking positions when the rotatable member is driven by the driving unit to rotate in the first and second rotational directions, respectively. The second protrusion slides over the first protrusion when the manual operating member is driven to rotate between the locking and unlocking positions and when the driving unit is deactivated.

Abstract: A system for applying RFID in ball game field to assist in making a decision in ball game includes a RFID tagging element embedded in a ball used in the game; a plurality of RFID reading devices spaced along borderlines of the ball game field for reading the RFID tagging element in the ball; and a control center connected to the RFID reading devices. When the ball with embedded RFID tagging element touches any of the borderlines, at least one of the RFID reading devices reads the RFID tagging element and sends a signal to the control center for determining whether the ball is out of bound or not. When the RFID reading devices are arranged at goal areas, the system may be used to determine the scoring. A decision signal is sent from the control center to a referee for use as a reference in making a decision.

A video camera monitors a parking space for take-out customers, and sends video to an image recognition program, which detects when a vehicle enters the parking space. The detection triggers a controller to start a timer and instruct an on-premises paging transmitter to page an employee responsible for serving takeout customers. The image recognition program detects when the employee enters a greeting zone for greeting customers, and the controller prepares an elapsed greeting time report for management. The image recognition program also detects when the vehicle leaves the parking space, and the controller prepares a total service time report for management.

The body portion has two receiving spaces. Each pin has a contacting portion and a piercing portion. The pins are disposed in an upper row and a lower row and are installed in the insulating body. The contacting portions extend to the connecting portion of the insulating body. The piercing portions extend into the two receiving spaces. Each connecting base has a plurality of wire slots. Each wire slot is connected with a guiding slot. The two connecting bases are installed in the two receiving spaces. The piercing portions pass through the guiding slots and enter into the wire slots to electrically connect with the conducting wires. Thereby, the manufacturing process is simplified, the cost is reduced, and the environment protection is achieved.
