Abstract: A composite fluid conduit assembly with a fluid conduit having a wall defining a fluid flow path is disclosed. The wall has an inner region and an outer region. The outer region includes a composite material having reinforcing elements within a matrix material and the inner region having a material which is substantially devoid of reinforcing elements. The inner region of the wall defines a first sealing surface around the fluid flow path at one end of the fluid conduit. The composite fluid conduit assembly has an interface member substantially devoid of reinforcing elements and located at the end of the fluid conduit. The interface member defines an aperture in fluid flow communication with the fluid flow path and a second sealing surface. A compression arrangement forces the interface member and the fluid conduit together forming a seal around the fluid flow path between the first and second sealing surfaces.

Abstract: This disclosure relates to a method, and an arrangement and a computer program for updating a prioritization level of a service data flow between a user node and a network node. The method comprises obtaining a traffic size per time unit of detected data packets of the service data flow, and updating the prioritization level of the service data flow, based on the obtained traffic size per time unit. It is an advantage that embodiments provide a possibility to determine a trade-off between the need to optimize response times for short-lived data sessions and limiting the impact on other users when prioritizing long-lived high volume sessions. It is advantageous that the embodiments are applicable to situations in which a direct classification, using IP 5-tuple or deep packet inspection is not meaningful.
Abstract: A communications network comprises a plurality of communication devices using shared communication resources. One of the devices identifies a time interval among the shared communication resources that can be allocated for separate use by another one of the devices, identifies a guard period of the time interval, and transmits information within the guard period.

Abstract: Provided is an apparatus for encoding a moving picture that determines a quantization step size of a previous coding block according to scan order as the quantization step size predictor of the current coding block when a quantization step size of a left coding block of a current coding block and a quantization step size of an above coding block of the current coding block are unavailable and determines an available motion vector encountered first when retrieving motion vectors in the order of motion vector of a first predetermined position and motion vector of a second predetermined position in a reference picture as a temporal motion vector candidate. Therefore, it is possible to reduce the amount of coding bits required to encode motion information and the quantization step size of the current prediction block.

Abstract: In some embodiments, a method receives a trigger to set up a bearer path connecting a first party (A) and a second party (B) via a media connection function. The method determines a predicted time gap between when the media connection function is expected to receive a bearer packet from the first party (A) and when the media connection function is expected to receive a bearer packet from the second party (B). The method uses the predicted time gap to delay connection setup toward whichever of the first party (A) or the second party (B) is expected to receive the bearer packet first.
