  • Patent number: 10085020
Abstract: A method, a filtering control device, a computer program and a computer program product for processing a first picture in a sample adaptive filtering procedure are disclosed. The first picture is reconstructed from video data. The filtering control device obtains an offset magnitude from the video data. The offset magnitude indicates a magnitude of a sample adaptive offset to be applied in the sample adaptive filtering procedure. The filtering control device obtains an offset sign from the video data. The offset sign indicates a sign of the sample adaptive offset. The filtering control device determines the sample adaptive offset based on the offset magnitude and the offset sign. Moreover, the filtering control device processes, in the sample adaptive filtering procedure, at least a portion of the first picture while applying the sample adaptive offset.

  • Patent number: 10082413
Abstract: A potentiometric sensor, comprising: a potentiometer track; a collector track opposite the potentiometer track; a conductive magnetic cushion slider coupled to the potentiometer track and the collector track; and a sealed body housing the potentiometer track, the collector track, and the conductive magnetic cushion is disclosed. The potentiometric sensor may provide a variable output voltage indicative of a level of liquid in a container. The output voltage of the potentiometric sensor may be based on a position of a magnet, which may determine a position of the conductive magnetic cushion or a ferromagnetic spring. The magnet may be outside of the sealed body. As the sensor will be more cost effective and less space consuming, the totally sealed sensor incorporating the conductive magnetic cushion or a ferromagnetic spring may replace many applications that allow a hysteresis of less than 1 mm. Additionally, these applications may be used on rotary systems.

  • Patent number: 10078306
Abstract: We describe methods of mass-producing full color, 3D holograms, potentially incorporating a personalized image, which are particularly suitable for security purposes. Broadly speaking in embodiments a method generates, electronically, an interlaced image comprising a set of different views of a 3D object from different angles. This is projected onto a diffusing screen using coherent light and mapped from the screen into an angularly encoded object beam using a lenticular array. The different views in the angularly encoded object beam are then recorded simultaneously into holographic film using a reference beam.

  • Patent number: 10075858
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for measuring received signal power at a mobile terminal in a cellular communications network in such a manner as to efficiently provide highly accurate received signal power measurements in the presence of strong inter-cell interference. In one embodiment, in order to measure received signal power for a measured cell, a mobile terminal selects weighting parameters for a number of time-frequency samples of a reference signal of the measured cell based, at least in part, on inter-cell interference from one or more synchronized interfering cells and inter-cell interference from one or more non-synchronized interfering cells. The mobile terminal applies the time-frequency samples of the reference signal of the measured cell and the corresponding weighting parameters to corresponding time-frequency samples of a received signal from the measured cell in order to obtain a measurement of the received power for the measured cell.
