Patent number: 10051536Abstract: Network connection is provided by a method is performed in a control node. An indication pertaining to at least partly transfer a data transmission service of a wireless device from using a first network access method to using a second network access method associated with a network node is received. The network node is associated with a compatibility version. The indication comprises a compatibility version of the wireless device for the second network access method. The compatibility version of the wireless device is compared to the compatibility version of the network node. It is determined if there is a version mismatch between the compatibility version of the wireless device and the compatibility version of the network node. If so, an expected performance impact of the wireless device using the second network access method is determined. Based on the determined performance impact, it is indicated whether or not the wireless device is allowed to establish a connection to the network node.Type: GrantFiled: November 23, 2012Date of Patent: August 14, 2018Assignee: TELEFONAKTIEBOLAGET L M ERICSSON (PUBL)Inventors: Lei Li, Yi Wu, Meng Zhang

Patent number: 10045265Abstract: A network node serves a cell of a mobile network. The network node indicates an offset value to a user equipment in the cell. The offset value is added to a channel quality value measured by the user equipment for triggering a handover from the cell to a further cell of the mobile network. The network node increases the indicated offset value until a handover of the user equipment to the further cell of the mobile network is triggered. After the handover to the further cell, the network node receives an indication of a channel quality of a downlink control channel of the further cell as experienced by the user equipment, e.g., in control signalling of a further handover of the user equipment back to the cell or in a request to protect radio resources of the downlink control channel.Type: GrantFiled: July 1, 2014Date of Patent: August 7, 2018Assignee: TELEFONAKTIEBOLAGET L M ERICSSON (PUBL)Inventors: Laetitia Falconetti, Torsten Dudda, Jörg Huschke

Patent number: 10044768Abstract: A telecommunications network has a packet switched domain for handling packet based calls and a circuit switched telephony domain for handling circuit switched calls. A node of the packet switched telephony domain decides whether to terminate a call to a user equipment using a packet based connection to the user equipment or using a circuit switched connection to the user equipment. In response to deciding to terminate the call using the circuit switched connection, the node sends, to a further node controlling routing of calls between the packet switched telephony domain and the circuit switched telephony domain, an indication that services related to the call are controlled in the packet switched telephony domain. In accordance with the indication, the further node may then adapt its control signalling with respect to a node of the circuit switched telephony domain.Type: GrantFiled: January 30, 2013Date of Patent: August 7, 2018Assignee: Telefonaktiebolaget L M Ericsson (publ)Inventors: Magnus Hallenstål, Jan Holm
