Abstract: A lock includes a housing, a keypad disposed on the housing, and a latch assembled with the housing. The keypad includes a plurality of button assemblies, each including an axially depressible button member including a camming surface, a lock wheel having a plurality of camming teeth, and a latch releasing feature secured to the lock wheel for rotation therewith. Pressing the button member causes the camming surface to engage one of the plurality of calming teeth, thereby incrementally rotating the lock wheel between a plurality of rotational positions. When the button members of a predetermined one or more of the plurality of button assemblies are depressed a predetermined number of times, the latch releasing features of each of the plurality of button assemblies align with a plurality of blocking features of the latch to permit lateral sliding movement of the latch from a locked condition to an unlocked condition.

Abstract: A combination lock includes a locking mechanism, a plurality of dials, and a code identifying member. When each of the plurality of dials is rotated to an unlocking orientation, a recess on each of the dials aligns with a portion of the locking mechanism, allowing the locking mechanism to move from a locked condition to an unlocked condition. When the code identifying member is in a dial engaging position, and one of the plurality of dials is rotated to the unlocking orientation, one of a plurality of dial engaging portions of the code identifying member engages the recess of the one of the plurality of dials to provide a perceptible indication that the one of the plurality of dials is in the unlocking orientation.

Abstract: A combination lock includes a locking mechanism, a code identifying member, and a plurality of user rotatable dials, with a recess disposed on an outer periphery of each dial. The locking mechanism includes a plurality of dial engaging members configured to hold the locking mechanism in a locking position. When each of the dials is rotated to an unlocking orientation, the recesses align with the dial engaging members, allowing the locking mechanism to move from the locking position to an unlocking position. When the code identifying member is moved to a code identifying condition, the dial engaging members are in biased engagement with the dials, such that rotation of any one of the dials to the unlocking orientation causes the corresponding dial engaging member to engage the corresponding recess to provide a perceptible indication that the dial is in the unlocking orientation.

Abstract: A door securing system includes a block member and a brace member. The block member is secured to a door jamb. The brace member including a mounting portion secured to an interior surface of a door, a rail portion extending in a lateral direction from the interior surface of the door, and a flange portion extending in a lateral direction from the rail portion. The interior surface of the door, the rail portion, and the flange portion together define a recess sized and positioned to receive the block member when the door is in the closed position to provide a lock point between the first jamb and the door.

Abstract: A combination locking arrangement includes a locking member, at least first and second tumbler discs, a dial, and a code change mechanism. When each of the tumbler discs is rotated to an unlocking orientation, the locking member is movable from a locking position to a releasing position. The dial is rotatable about a tumbler disc axis for selective rotation of the at least first and second tumbler discs. The dial includes a clutch rotationally securable in interlocking engagement with the first tumbler disc. The code change mechanism is rotatable to a code change position to separate the clutch from the first tumbler disc, such that the dial is subsequently rotatable to rotate the clutch with respect to the first tumbler disc.

Abstract: A combination locking arrangement includes a locking member, a locking lever connected to the locking member; and at least first and second tumbler discs rotatable about a tumbler disc axis. When each of the tumbler discs is rotated to an unlocking orientation, the locking lever engages aligned recesses in the tumbler discs, such that further rotation of the tumbler discs moves the locking member from the locking position to the releasing position. A dial is rotatable about the tumbler disc axis for selective rotation of the tumbler discs, and includes a drive portion rotationally secured in interlocking engagement with the first tumbler disc in one of a plurality of code selecting orientations. The locking lever includes a disc securing portion positioned to prevent axial disengagement of the first tumbler disc from the dial drive portion when the locking lever is engaged with the aligned recesses in the tumbler discs.

Abstract: An electromechanical lock includes a lock body and a locking mechanism disposed in the lock body. The locking mechanism includes a blocker, first and second cams, and a motor. The blocker is movable between a locked position and an unlocked position. The first cam is rotatable about a first axis between a blocker obstructing position and a blocker clearance position. The second cam is rotatable about a second axis, spaced apart from the first axis, to move the first cam between the blocker obstructing position and the blocker clearance position. The motor is coupled to the second cam to rotate the second cam in response to an electrical authorization signal supplied to the motor.

Abstract: A recodeable lock includes a housing, a cylinder plug, a plurality of wafer tumblers, and a sidebar coupled with the cylinder plug. The sidebar is assembled with a plurality of code blocks and a codebar releasably securing the code blocks to the sidebar. A liftbar is disposed in the housing radially outward of the cylinder plug and is configured to selectively engage a radially outward extending appendage of the codebar when the cylinder plug and sidebar are rotated to a recoding orientation, to release the code blocks from the sidebar. The housing includes a circumferential track axially positioned to receive the appendage of the codebar to permit greater than 180 degree rotation of the cylinder plug and sidebar with respect to the housing.

Abstract: An electrically operable latch includes a housing and a latch member assembled with the housing for movement between an extended position and a retracted position. A blocker member is disposed in the housing and adapted to block movement of the latch member to the retracted position when the blocker member is in a first position, and to permit movement of the latch member from the extended position to the retracted position when the blocker member is in a second position. An actuator member is disposed in the housing and adapted to move the blocker member from the first position to the second position in response to an electrical signal supplied to the actuator member.

Abstract: A lock includes a lock body, an access restricting structure, a locking mechanism, a lock interface, and a mode selection mechanism. The locking mechanism is operable to secure the access restricting structure in a first position when the locking mechanism is in a locked condition. The lock interface is operable to move the locking mechanism between the locked condition and an unlocked condition. The mode selection mechanism is operable to selectively place the locking mechanism in either one of a first mode and a second mode. In the first mode, movement of the access restricting structure to the first position automatically moves the locking mechanism to the locked condition. In the second mode, the access restricting structure is movable to the first position without moving the locking mechanism to the locked condition.

Abstract: A safety lockout hasp includes a shackle member having a first shackle leg and a second shackle leg, and first and second clasp members pivotally secured to the first shackle leg. The first clasp member includes an apertured flange, and the second clasp member includes a cutout portion positioned to receive the apertured flange therethrough when the first and second clasp members are in a closed position in which at least one of the first and second clasp members engages the second shackle leg. When the first and second clasp members are in the closed position and a lockable retaining member is inserted through a lockout aperture in the apertured flange, withdrawal of the apertured flange from the cutout portion is prevented, thereby securing the first and second clasp members in the closed position.
