Abstract: Novel 2-benzhydrylimino-1,3-diazacarbocyclic compounds of the formula ##STR1## wherein R' and R" independently are selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and methyl, X and Y independently are selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, lower alkoxy, lower alkyl and halo, and n is an integer of from 2 to 4, inclusive; and their acid addition salts are disclosed. Compounds have antisecretory properties. Certain of the compounds also have hypoglycemic properties.
Abstract: A method of producing analgesia by employing 2-[(2,6-dichlorophenyl)amino]-benzeneacetic acid or salt thereof together with acetaminophen and compositions therefor.
Abstract: A method of producing analgesia by administering .alpha.-methyl-3-phenoxybenzeneacetic acid or salt thereof together with acetaminophen and compositions therefor.
Abstract: A method for producing analgesia by administering a 3-(4-biphenylylcarbonyl)propionic acid compound together with acetaminophen and compositions therefor.
Abstract: A method for producing analgesia by administering a 6-methoxy-.alpha.-methyl-2-naphthaleneacetic acid compound with acetaminophen and compositions therefor.
Abstract: A method of producing analgesia by administering m-benzoylhydratropic acid or a salt thereof together with acetaminophen and compositions therefor.
Abstract: A method for controlling hypertension by administering to hypertensive subjects a N-aryl-N'-(2-imidazolidinylidene)urea compound and compositions suitable therefor are described.
Abstract: 5-Aroyl-1-loweralkylpyrrole-2-acetonitriles are converted to the corresponding thiol esters by treatment with an alkyl mercaptan under acidic conditions followed by basification of the thiol esters to the corresponding acid salt form.
Abstract: A drug-dispensing device and method for controlled and prolonged internal administration of medicaments to warm-blooded animals comprising an outer polymer envelope containing an expanding agent, drug metering means, and the drug itself. The outer polymer envelope is permeable to both the drug and body fluids and expands when the expanding agent is contacted by body fluids when the device is in the environment of use (e.g., the stomach). This expansion maintains the device in the environment of use while the drug is administered by the metering means.
Abstract: A method of producing analgesia by administering (Z)-5-fluoro-2-methyl-1-{[4-methylsulfinyl)-phenyl]methylene}-1H-indene-3- acetic acid or a salt thereof together with acetaminophen and compositions therefor.
Abstract: Loweralkyl 1-methylpyrrole-2-acetates are prepared by the reduction of loweralkyl .alpha.-imino-1-methylpyrrole-2-acetates using sodium dithionite as the reducing agent.

Abstract: Novel (2-amino-2-oxoethoxy)acetic acid compounds and antisecretory compositions and methods employing (2-amino-2-oxoethoxy)acetic acid compounds are disclosed. The (2-amino-2-oxoethoxy)acetic acid compounds are also useful as cardiotonic agents and as clacium binding agents; certain of the compounds are also useful for their calcium transport properties. Novel 4-substituted 3,5-morpholinediones intermediates in the preparation of certain of the (2-amino-2-oxoethoxy)acetic acid compounds and further useful as antisecretory agents are also disclosed.
