Abstract: An absorbent article includes a chassis having a substantially rectangular shape a first portion, a second portion and a crotch portion extending between the first and second portion, a portion of the chassis being configured to absorb fluids. The absorbent article includes a first securement portion operatively coupled to the first portion of the chassis. The absorbent article includes a second securement portion operatively coupled to the second portion of the chassis and configured to releasably attach to the first securement portion. The chassis is configured to include one of a first chassis length or a second chassis length. When the chassis includes the first length, the chassis includes a first width and the first securement portion includes a second width, and when the chassis includes the second length, the chassis includes the first width and the first securement portion includes a third width, greater than the second width.

Abstract: A fluid collection container (1500) includes a vessel (901) and a lid (1300). A splash retarding cover (100) can be attached to a mouth (501) of the vessel (901). The splash retarding cover (100) can include a centrally disposed suspended funnel (101), a collar (102) surrounding the funnel (101), a vessel mounting ring (109), and a plurality of sloping facets (104) circumscribing the collar (102) and sloping outwardly from an outer circumference (105) of the collar (102) and terminating at the vessel mounting ring (109). An optional cache (1904) of coagulant material can be disposed within an interior of the vessel as well.
Abstract: A tray stack (100) for accommodating a catheter assembly (1400) and medical devices (1401,1402,1403,1404,1409,1410, 1411,1412,1413) corresponding to catheter use includes a first tray (101) and second tray (102). Each tray (101,102) includes a tray opening, a base member (205,206), and sidewalls (203,204). When placed atop each other, they first tray (101) and second tray (102) form a tray stack (100). When unstacked and placed in a side-by-side, single layer catheter tray assembly (200), implements disposed therein can be arranged in a predetermined sequence corresponding to an order of use during a catheterization procedure. Mechanical couplings (300) can be included to permit the trays to translate with respect to each other. Retention mechanisms (710-713) can be included to hold the trays together.
Abstract: A wound dressing makes use of polysaccharides, including the formation of a range of variable viscosity mixtures that use a solid polysaccharide such as medical grade cane sugar and a liquid polysaccharide such as honey, both of which have inherent beneficial properties for wound healing. The mixture is applied to an absorbent surface that is designed to absorb the mixed polysaccharide only partially.
Abstract: A container (100) includes a first side (101) defining an aperture (107), a second side (102), and a plurality of other sides (103,104,105). The first side, the second side, the plurality of other sides defining an interior volume (106) of the container. A plurality of gloves (110) is disposed within the interior volume such that one or more gloves may be drawn from the container through the aperture. A magnetic device (112) is proximately located with the second side. When the second side is proximately located with a ferrous object, the magnetic device magnetically couples the container to the ferrous object.
Abstract: A glove packaging comprises a container for holding the gloves and a barrier positioned to cover at least a portion of an opening in the container. The barrier protects the gloves from airborne particles and other materials or contaminants that may contaminate the gloves prior to removal from the packaging. The barrier also includes an antimicrobial material for protecting the gloves from microorganisms, pathogens or other materials or contaminants that come in contact with the barrier to further reduce the possibility of contamination.
Abstract: A lid (100) for a container (1901) includes a first sliding door (102) and a second sliding door (103). A lid body (101) has a container engaging section (104) and an interior section (103) having a sliding surface (120) and a sharps disposal aperture (119). The second sliding door interlocks between the sliding surface and the first sliding door. The first sliding door and the second sliding door are selectively slidable between: an open position (1100) with a minor protuberance (124) and the major protuberance (125) disposed beneath the second sliding door; a partially closed position (1500) with an edge (701) of the second sliding door disposed between the minor protuberance and the major protuberance; and a closed position (1700) with the major protuberance disposed between the edge of the second sliding door and the minor protuberance.

Abstract: A drape suitable for use with a multi-tier back table has a first fabric portion configured to substantially cover a lower table surface and a second fabric portion configured as a pocket that receives at least a substantial portion of an upper table surface. By one approach this pocket includes at least one hand slot configured to receive a user's hand such that the user can lift the second fabric portion and slide the pocket over the upper table surface. A third fabric portion having a vertical panel connects the first and second fabric portions.
Abstract: A custom procedure kit is provided, which comprises a plurality of medical-procedure tools and a cover that is wrapped around the plurality of medical-procedure tools to form wrapped tools. An outer container is fully disposed about the wrapped tools, and at least one sheet is disposed between the outer container and the wrapped tools. The sheet includes a listing of the plurality of medical-procedure tools and, for at least some of the medical-procedure tools, an unselected end-user selectable field.
Abstract: A collapsible personal wheeled conveyance comprises a first and second collapsible side frame, each having ground-contacting wheels, and at least one adjustable crossbar configured to physically connect the two collapsible side frames, the adjustable crossbar(s) having a selectively adjustable length. The adjustable crossbar(s) may be lockable or non-lockable. One or more of the adjustable crossbars may comprise seat-supporting adjustable crossbars. A seat can be configured to move laterally along such a seat-supporting adjustable crossbar to permit selective adjustment of the lateral position of this seat with respect to the side frames. One or more locking mechanisms can serve to lock the seat at a particular position. By one approach the aforementioned seat-supporting adjustable crossbar can include spacing indicia to visually indicate when the seat is centrally located between the first and second collapsible side frames for a particular selected length of the seat-supporting adjustable crossbars.
