    Abstract: A device is provided for the real-time picture transmission in the case of a guided missile which is connected with a ground guiding station by way of a beam waveguide. The picture transmission takes place using a camera arranged on a platform which has objective lenses of different focal lengths. The camera is constructed as a double focal length camera with a single lens system member having a short focal length section integrated in the center of the surrounding lens section for the long focal length. A common support is provided for the picture raise of both focal lengths. The single electronic camera system is provided for both picture arrays and includes an electronic change over system for the respective required focal length of arrays to be viewed.

    Abstract: The invention is directed to a method and an apparatus for scanning the terrain surface and other objects transversely to the flight direction or direction of motion of the scanner with a detector row arranged perpendicularly to the direction of scanning and containing several individual detectors of equal size, wherein the terrain- or object strip to be scanned is divided into various distance ranges, within which the fundamental detector signals within the detector row as well as of consecutive exposure periods are collated respectively in such a way by averaging, that the collated individual signals form or cover respectively one object pixel of approximately constant magnitude independent of the scanning distance, and wherein these object pixels stand always at right angles with respect to the scanning beam and where each scanning sweep produces a terrain- or object strip with approximately equal object pixel size as well as constant object pixel number along the width and length of the scanned strip.

According to the invention, this is achieved in that the escapement mechanism of the stepping mechanism comprises a brake (20) displaceable under the action of force, with a run-up edge (21) lying in the region of each pawl (12) on to which the wheel-side stop (10) runs up before striking the pawl (12) to thereby displace the brake.

In order to achieve real-time capacity with a high discrimination despite the high data flow, reference functions are determined by a geometry module and a circuit for dividing the strip illuminated by the antennae into a specific number of range intervals. As a result of the division of the overall analysis circuit into individual modules, a complete analysis of the incoming signals can take place despite the high data flow.
