Patent number: 10305748Abstract: The invention concerns computer systems that are specially adapted to propagate content over a dynamic network, substantially in real time, by virtue of the locational proximity of network-joined Client Computers. Preferably, the content will also be weighting (for example, proximity-weighting, rank-weighting, topic-weighting, query-weighting, time-weighting, location-weighting, locality-weighting, vote-weighting, segment-weighting, etc.). The invention particularly concerns such computer systems that employ more than one such weighting. The invention particularly concerns such computer systems that operate using, or through, mobile devices, particularly for distributed computing applications, including social media applications and communications applications conducted over Restricted Computer Networks.Type: GrantFiled: August 2, 2017Date of Patent: May 28, 2019Assignee: The Michael Harrison Tretter Auerbach TrustInventor: Michael H. Patent number: 10272501Abstract: The clamping device is provided for tools and has a coupling piece that is provided with at least one actuating unit. The coupling piece acts to actuate a nut seated on a spindle journal that is receiving the tool. A torque coupling is provided for the nut. The coupling piece is fixedly connected with an output shaft that is in drive connection with a drive shaft by a transmission gear. As a result of the transmission gear, it is possible to rotate the drive shaft with minimal moment in order to apply the great clamping force required for axial clamping of the tool.Type: GrantFiled: July 28, 2017Date of Patent: April 30, 2019Assignee: Michael Weinig AGInventors: Ralf Wagner, Sebastian Hofmann

Patent number: 10251414Abstract: The present invention relates to the formulation and process for preparation of a fried egg product that may be frozen for future heating in a microwave or other oven or griddle, for consumption by an individual. Various ingredients are added and mixed to each of the liquid egg white and liquid egg yolk portions. The liquid egg white portion is preheated and then deposited within a mold for slow cooking under controlled temperature and humidity conditions. The liquid egg yolk portion is preheated and then added to the mold for placement on the egg white portion. Following a short period of cooking, the mold containing the formulated fried eggs is transported to a freezer unit for freezing, then is removed from the mold for packaging and storage. At a future time, the frozen formulated fried egg product may be thawed and reheated for consumption by an individual.Type: GrantFiled: September 4, 2017Date of Patent: April 9, 2019Assignee: Michael Foods, Inc.Inventors: Jonathan A. Publication number: 20190015615Abstract: A device and method for controlling a level of ventilatory assist applied to a patient by a mechanical ventilator measures, during patient's assisted breath, an inspiratory volume Vassist produced by both the patient and the mechanical ventilator, an inspiratory volume Vvent contributed by the mechanical ventilator, and an inspiratory assist pressure Pvent produced by the mechanical ventilator. A first relation between pressure Pvent and volume Vassist and a second relation between pressure Pvent and volume Vvent are calculated. Using the first and second relations, a ratio is determined between pressure Pvent at volume Vvent and pressure Pvent at volume Vassist, with volume Vvent equal to volume Vassist, for a plurality of volumes Vvent and Vassist. Values of Pvent are multiplied by the corresponding calculated ratios to calculate a third relation between a predicted inspiratory pressure Ppred and volume Vassist.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 29, 2016Publication date: January 17, 2019Applicant: St. Michael's HospitalInventors: Christer Sinderby, Jennifer Beck, Norman Comtois

Patent number: 10166144Abstract: Disclosed here is an apparatus and method for cataract surgery. The apparatus is an instrument referred to as a chopper that allows the reduction or elimination of ultrasound and/or laser energy introduced into the eye during cataract surgery. The chopper instrument is bent at an angle, such as an angle less than 110 degrees or less than 90 degrees, to provide a posterior (to anterior) chopping, and a wedge compression of the cataract. The bend in the chopper instrument, among other features, introduces refined vector forces that help in breaking/chopping the cataract with ease. The apparatus allows laser free/ultrasound free cataract extraction in dense cataracts. The chopper apparatus, a vacuum-tip and the proper vacuum settings, when used for performing a cataract surgery by a surgeon, allows the surgeon to break up the nucleus into small enough fragments that a true ultrasound-free/laser-free small incision cataract surgery can be accomplished with ease.Type: GrantFiled: December 29, 2015Date of Patent: January 1, 2019Assignee: Michael Jerome Designs, LLCInventor: Michael Jerome Depenbusch
