Abstract: A pocket knife includes a chassis that defines a cavity. A blade having a cutting edge has a retracted position in which the cutting edge is inside the cavity and a deployed position in which the cutting edge is outside of the cavity. A front operator inside the cavity engages with the blade to move the blade to the retracted position, and a rear operator inside the cavity engages with the blade to move the blade to the deployed position. A spring connected between the front operator and the rear operator provides a tension between the front and rear operators. An adjustable connection between the spring and the rear operator has a plurality of positions to adjust the tension between the front and rear operators.
Abstract: A pocket clip for a tool includes a mounting section that defines a width between a first side opposed to a second side. A friction section is flexibly connected to the mounting section, and the friction section has a distal end biased toward the tool when the mounting section is attached to the tool. An aperture is through the friction section. A first slot extends from the first side of the mounting section partially across the width of the mounting section, and at least a portion of the aperture through the friction section is aligned in line with the first slot. A first connector in the first slot of the mounting section attaches the mounting section to the tool.
Abstract: A folding knife includes a handle, a first liner inside the handle, and a second liner inside the handle and opposed to the first liner. A blade has a tang and a cutting edge, and the tang of the blade pivotally connects the blade between the first and second liners. The blade has a retracted position in which the cutting edge is inside the handle and a deployed position in which the cutting edge is outside the handle. An actuator is at least partially between the first and second liners, and a spring is between the first and second liners and in compression against the actuator so that the spring biases the actuator toward the tang of the blade.
Abstract: A cigar tool includes a casing with a hole through the casing that defines a perimeter. A pair of blades are pivotally connected to the casing, and each blade has a cutting edge. The pair of blades has a closed position in which the pair of blades overlap one another within the perimeter, a cutter position in which the pair of blades are separated from one another, outside the perimeter, and the cutting edges are within the casing, and a deployed position in which the cutting edge of one blade is outside the casing. A spring is operably engaged with each blade to bias the cutting edge of each blade out of the casing. An actuator extends through at least a portion of the casing and has a hold position that prevents movement of the pair of blades with respect to the casing and a release position that permits movement of the pair of blades with respect to the casing.
