The pair of reflecting surfaces is composed of two flat surfaces which cross at about a .pi./2 radian, and the crossing line of two adjacent reflecting surfaces is perpendicular to the first direction. The reflecting plate projects the image component in parallel to the first direction and the cylindrical focusing lens or mirror projects an image component perpendicular to the first direction.
