  • Patent number: 5171512
Abstract: A melt-blowing method having notches formed in the tip portions of capillaries of a melt-blowing die. This allows, during spinning, a high-speed gas blowing from orifices of the die to flow through the notches whereby the flow of a molten resin being extruded through each capillary is divided into two parts or more. This prevents fibers from becoming entangled or ball-shaped.
