  • Patent number: 9412004
Abstract: A database stores a number N of biometric data representatives which correspond to a set of characteristics of said biometric data. Acquired biometric data is obtained. Then, transformed biometric data is obtained by transforming the acquired biometric data according to said set of characteristics. Next, N deviation values are obtained by applying a comparison between the transformed biometric data and the N representatives in the database. Finally, a vector representing the acquired biometric data is obtained, the representation vector having a number of components less than or equal to N, said components being determined in relation to said N deviation values.

  • Patent number: 9411460
Abstract: The present invention concerns a method and device for detecting the orientation of an area (DO) of the body of an individual placed on an apposition area (AP) of a biometric sensor mounting (P) designed to form a first image (I1) of the area (DO) of the body by total reflection of radiation on the apposition area (AP), and a second image (I2) of the area (DO) of the body from radiation able to pass through the tissues of the body and to be reflected on haemoglobin. The method is characterized in that it comprises a step of determining in a reference frame firstly the longitudinal axis (A) of the area of the body depicted in the first image and secondly two longitudinal edges (B1, B2) of the area of the body depicted in the second image, and a step of determining the orientation of the area of the body with respect to the mounting from the measurement of the relative positions of the two edges (B1, B2) and the axis (A) thus determined in the reference frame.

  • Patent number: 9407637
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and system for managing and checking different identity data relating to a person. According to the invention, a derived-identity management server generates for the person at least part of the identity data with which said person can be authenticated in relation to a service provider for the derived-identity domain, on the basis of information derived from identity data from parent domains. The identity data generation processing ensures that no link can be established from two authentications in two separate domains in the absence of link information. If necessary, said link information is transmitted by a parent domain to a derived-identity server so that the latter establishes the link between the identity data of the derived-identity domain and the identity data of the parent domain, e.g. for the cascade revocation of a person from various domains.

  • Patent number: 9405990
Abstract: A method of performing a security inspection of a container including a plurality of objects includes irradiating the container with polychromatic x-rays, reconstructing a 4-D voxelized representation defining a momentum transfer spectrum, and generating a 3-D image by determining a single value at each voxel as a function of the momentum transfer spectrum. The method further includes segmenting the voxels into segments of contiguous voxels that map onto at least one object. The method also includes computing an aggregated momentum transfer spectrum over at least a portion of the contiguous voxels through at least one of aggregating the spectra of the contiguous voxels for each segment and defining a supervoxel that includes voxels with the object exclusively and voxels in a neighborhood, regardless of association with the object. The method further includes classifying the object as one of a threat and a non-threat based on the aggregated momentum transfer spectrum.

  • Publication number: 20160188992
Abstract: The present disclosure can obtain a high-quality composite image by determining a suitable boundary when input images are sequentially stitched together to generate the composite image. An image generating apparatus 1 generates a composite image by stitching sequentially input images together. A difference value calculating section 15 calculates difference values by using the pixel values of a reference image and the pixel values of a target image that partly overlap the reference image. The difference values represent the relative relationship between the reference image and the target image. A boundary determining section 16 determines a boundary for stitching the reference image and the target image together by using the difference values calculated by the difference value calculating section 15. Then, an image compositing section 18 generates the composite image by stitching the reference image and the target image together based on the boundary determined by the boundary determining section 16.

  • Patent number: 9372791
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for masking the end-of-life transition of an electronic microprocessor device comprising a reprogrammable non-volatile memory containing an end-of-life state variable (FdVE). The value of the variable (FdVE) is loaded (A) into random access memory. Prior to the execution of any current command (COM), the value of the variable (FdVR) in random access memory is checked (B). The end-of-life transition is executed (C) in the event of an empty value. Otherwise, the initialization or the execution of the command (COM) is continued (D). Upon detection (E) of an intrusive attack, the end-of-life state variable (FdVR) is written (F) in the single random-access memory, and the end-of-life state variable (FdVE) is deleted (G) from the non-volatile memory in a delayed manner. The invention is suitable for all electronic devices, microprocessor cards or the like.

  • Patent number: 9356786
Abstract: A server-implemented method encrypting at least two pieces of indexed data as lists of elements, each element belonging to a finite set of indexed symbols on an alphabet. The data is encrypted to form a protected set, including: the server randomly generates, for each datum, a corresponding encoding function; if at least one element that constitutes a datum is the symbol of the alphabet, the server determines the image of the symbol of the alphabet via the encoding function corresponding to the datum to obtain a codeword coordinate and adds the codeword coordinate to an indexed set corresponding to the element of the alphabet; then the server completes the indexed set with error-inducing points; the server randomly reindexes the elements of the indexed set corresponding to the symbol of the alphabet; and the server adds the indexed set to the protected set. The method can identify an individual.

  • Patent number: 9355486
Abstract: It is an object to generate a desired composite image in which a motion area of a subject is correctly composited. A difference image between a base target and an aligned swap target is generated (S1021), and an extracted contour in the difference image is determined according to the active contour model (S1022). The inner area of the contour and the outer area of the contour are painted with different colors to be color-coded so as to generate a mask image for alpha blending (S1023). Using the mask image thus generated, the swap target that is aligned with respect to the base target is composited with the base target of the base image by alpha blending (S1024).
