  • Patent number: 11632158
Abstract: Apparatuses, methods, and systems are disclosed for preparing channel state information (“CSI”). One apparatus includes a processor and a transceiver configured to communicate with a base unit over a radio access network using at least one transmission layer and determining a total number of non-zero coefficients over a set of layers. The processor encodes the total number of non-zero coefficients by selecting a codeword from a plurality of candidate codewords in which the selected single codeword identifies the total number of non-zero coefficients to the base unit. The processor prepares CSI, where the CSI comprises the selected single codeword encoding the total number of non-zero coefficients and the transceiver transmits the CSI to the base unit.

  • Patent number: 11622031
Abstract: A communication device, method and computer program product enable multiple transceiver communication in a communication device having a configurable housing. A pivot mechanism is connected between first and second housing portions for relative movement of a housing assembly between open and closed positions. The closed position aligns four antenna positions in the first housing portion adjacent to one of four antenna positions in the second housing portion to present four pairings of adjacent antenna positions. Four antennas are positioned within the first housing portion or the second housing portion at a different one of the four pairings of adjacent antenna positions. A radio frequency (RF) front end is communicatively coupled to the four antennas and has two or more transceivers that utilize the four antennas to communicate without antenna-to-antenna signal cancellation in RF low band while the housing assembly is in either of the open position and the closed position.

  • Patent number: 11615517
Abstract: A device includes a digital camera positioned underneath a display of the device that captures images through the display. When capturing images using the digital camera, light emitted by the display can get into the digital camera, interfering with or corrupting the captured images. An enhanced output image is generated from a captured image that mitigates the interference from the display. The enhanced output image is generated, for example, by capturing a different calibration image for each pixel type (e.g., Red, Green, and Blue) included in the display. When an image is subsequently captured, an amount of color emitted by the pixels on the display for the currently displayed image is determined and one or more subtraction images are generated and subtracted from the captured image to mitigate the interference from the display.

  • Patent number: 11611693
Abstract: A camera system lens or image sensor is moved to change the distance between the image sensor the lens in order for the image sensor to capture an-focus of an object. The camera system includes one or more calibration values indicating distances between the lens and the image sensor for different distances to objects, such as a macro calibration value and an infinity calibration value. These one or more calibration values are used by the camera system when manually focusing the camera system (e.g., a user manually sets the camera system to a macro setting or an infinity setting) or when automatically focusing the camera system on an object. These one or more calibration values are dynamically updated during use of the camera system, allowing the camera system to adapt to various factors such as changes in environment, pressure applied to the camera system, and so forth.

  • Publication number: 20230079580
Abstract: In aspects of environment mapping based on UWB tags, a system includes ultra-wideband (UWB) tags located for association with respective objects in an environment, where each UWB tag is identified with a digital label indicative of the association with one or more of the objects. A mapping module is implemented to determine a location of each of the UWB tags in the environment, and determine relative positions of each of the UWB tags with respect to each other. The mapping module can generate a location association map of the objects in the environment based on the location and the relative position of each of the UWB tags associated with the respective objects. In an environment within a building, the mapping module can generate the location association map as a floor plan of the building, including the objects location in the building.

  • Publication number: 20230078485
Abstract: In aspects of object tracking based on UWB tags, a system includes ultra-wideband (UWB) tags located for association with respective objects in an environment, where each UWB tag is identified with a digital label indicative of the association with one or more of the objects. A tracking service is implemented to receive initial location data for the objects from each of the UWB tags that are associated with the objects, and generate an object identity database in which each of the objects are identified by their respective initial location data. The tracking service can monitor for movement of an object that is identified by the initial location data based on subsequent positioning data associated with the object. The movement of an object is monitored for an unauthorized relocation of the object, for a cluster of multiple objects moving together, and/or for an abnormal proximity of multiple objects in the environment.

  • Publication number: 20230078020
Abstract: Techniques for multiple call types for a call event are described and may be implemented via a wireless device to enable multiple connections for wireless calls. For instance, redundant connections for a call event of a wireless device are established via different call types and utilized to exchange call media of the call event. In at least some implementations, call media from the different call types is combined to provide a combined media stream for output as part of the call event. Thus, techniques for multiple call types for a call event are applicable to increase call quality in different scenarios and environments, such as in situations where a primary call connection experiences an anomaly condition that causes quality call degradation.
