  • Patent number: 11611693
Abstract: A camera system lens or image sensor is moved to change the distance between the image sensor the lens in order for the image sensor to capture an-focus of an object. The camera system includes one or more calibration values indicating distances between the lens and the image sensor for different distances to objects, such as a macro calibration value and an infinity calibration value. These one or more calibration values are used by the camera system when manually focusing the camera system (e.g., a user manually sets the camera system to a macro setting or an infinity setting) or when automatically focusing the camera system on an object. These one or more calibration values are dynamically updated during use of the camera system, allowing the camera system to adapt to various factors such as changes in environment, pressure applied to the camera system, and so forth.

Abstract: Techniques for video content based on multiple capture devices are described and are implementable to enable multiple video capture devices to be utilized for a video feed. Generally, the described implementations enable video content captured by multiple video capture devices to be utilized, such as to integrate different instances of video content into a merged video content stream. In at least one implementation this provides higher quality video attributes to be utilized than is provided by utilizing a single video content source.

  • Publication number: 20230079580
Abstract: In aspects of environment mapping based on UWB tags, a system includes ultra-wideband (UWB) tags located for association with respective objects in an environment, where each UWB tag is identified with a digital label indicative of the association with one or more of the objects. A mapping module is implemented to determine a location of each of the UWB tags in the environment, and determine relative positions of each of the UWB tags with respect to each other. The mapping module can generate a location association map of the objects in the environment based on the location and the relative position of each of the UWB tags associated with the respective objects. In an environment within a building, the mapping module can generate the location association map as a floor plan of the building, including the objects location in the building.

  • Publication number: 20230078485
Abstract: In aspects of object tracking based on UWB tags, a system includes ultra-wideband (UWB) tags located for association with respective objects in an environment, where each UWB tag is identified with a digital label indicative of the association with one or more of the objects. A tracking service is implemented to receive initial location data for the objects from each of the UWB tags that are associated with the objects, and generate an object identity database in which each of the objects are identified by their respective initial location data. The tracking service can monitor for movement of an object that is identified by the initial location data based on subsequent positioning data associated with the object. The movement of an object is monitored for an unauthorized relocation of the object, for a cluster of multiple objects moving together, and/or for an abnormal proximity of multiple objects in the environment.

  • Publication number: 20230078020
Abstract: Techniques for multiple call types for a call event are described and may be implemented via a wireless device to enable multiple connections for wireless calls. For instance, redundant connections for a call event of a wireless device are established via different call types and utilized to exchange call media of the call event. In at least some implementations, call media from the different call types is combined to provide a combined media stream for output as part of the call event. Thus, techniques for multiple call types for a call event are applicable to increase call quality in different scenarios and environments, such as in situations where a primary call connection experiences an anomaly condition that causes quality call degradation.

  • Patent number: 11604623
Abstract: An electronic device, computer program product, and method mitigates loss of communication between participants in a communication session when a local participant attempts to speak without manually unmuting the electronic device. The electronic device includes an image capturing device, a user interface device having a microphone, and a controller. The controller is communicatively coupled to the image capturing device and to the user interface device. The controller monitors, during the communication session with a second electronic device, an image stream received from the image capturing device for movements by the local participant in the communication session. The controller autonomously generates a prompt to unmute the microphone in response to determining that the microphone is muted while identifying at least one of a speaking movement of a mouth of the local participant to speak or a gesture by the local participant that correlates with the participant wanting to speak.

  • Patent number: 11606536
Abstract: An electronic device, computer program product, and method mitigate changes in ambient lighting of a local participant in a video communication session to avoid a distraction to other participant(s) using second electronic device(s). A controller of the electronic device monitors a current lighting level in an image stream captured and provided by an image capturing device(s) of the electronic device to the second electronic device(s). The electronic device communicates, via a network interface, a live version of the image stream to the video communication session while the current light level is at or above a lighting level threshold. In response to the current light level not being above the threshold, the controller responds by: (i) turning on a light source to illuminate at least one object that is being presented within the image stream; or (ii) communicating an alternate image stream, via the network interface, to the video communication session.

  • Patent number: 11606686
Abstract: One or more sensors of an electronic device detect either authorization of an authorized user or a cessation of physical contact between an authorized user of the electronic device and the electronic device. A location detector determines a location of the electronic device when the authorization of the authorized user occurs or where the cessation of physical contact occurs. A geofence manager establishes a geofence about the location in response to detecting the authorization of the authorized user or the cessation of physical contact. One or more processors operate the electronic device in a normal mode of operation while the electronic device remains within the geofence and in an enhanced security mode of operation when the electronic device exits the geofence.

  • Patent number: 11604891
Abstract: A sensitive content display control system determines whether to display sensitive content on a computing device display, such as on a lock screen. The system attempts to authenticate a user of the computing device, and does not display the sensitive content if the user is not authenticated. If the user is authenticated, then the system determines whether anyone in addition to the user is looking at the computing device display. If the user is authenticated and no one else is looking at the computing device display, then the sensitive content is displayed. However, if the user is authenticated and at least one additional person is looking at the computing device display, then the sensitive content is not displayed.
