  • Publication number: 20220210365
Abstract: In aspects of personal content managed during extended display screen recording, a screen recording system includes a wireless device that provides digital image content for display on an extended display device, and a screen recording session on the wireless device captures the digital image content and audio data. The wireless device implements a content control module that can determine the screen recording session would capture personal content associated with a user of the wireless device. The content control module can initiate a private screen review mode in which the personal content is displayable on a display screen of the wireless device and is prevented from visual display on the extended display device. The content control module can also generate a shareable screen recording that includes the audio data and the digital image content displayed on the extended display device, without including the personal content.

  • Publication number: 20220207675
Abstract: A device includes a digital camera positioned underneath a display of the device that captures images through the display. When capturing images using the digital camera, light emitted by the display can get into the digital camera, interfering with or corrupting the captured images. Calibration images are displayed on the display and captured by the digital camera to be used to generate an enhanced output image that mitigates the interference from the display. Recalibration images are subsequently captured in response to any of a variety of different trigger events that may cause or indicate a change in the alignment and geometries of the display pixels to the imager pixels. The captured recalibration image is merged with the previously captured calibration image to generate a merged calibration image, which is afterwards used as the captured calibration image.

Abstract: A device includes a digital camera positioned underneath a display of the device that captures images through the display. When capturing images using the digital camera, light emitted by the display can get into the digital camera, interfering with or corrupting the captured images. An enhanced output image is generated from a captured image that mitigates the interference from the display. The enhanced output image is generated, for example, by capturing a different calibration image for each pixel type (e.g., Red, Green, and Blue) included in the display. When an image is subsequently captured, an amount of color emitted by the pixels on the display for the currently displayed image is determined and one or more subtraction images are generated and subtracted from the captured image to mitigate the interference from the display.

  • Publication number: 20220206562
Abstract: A device includes a thermal mitigation system that operates to reduce performance of a component of the device to prevent the device from getting too hot. The system uses a combination of a time-based technique and a temperature-based technique to perform thermal mitigation. The time-based technique refers to using an indication of the device usage as well as the amount of current drawn by the device at any given time to predict an amount of time that the device is to run in a non-reduced performance mode before reaching a target temperature threshold, and an amount of time for the device to run in a reduced performance mode to cool down. The temperature-based technique refers to monitoring the temperature of the device (or a component of the device) and powering off the device in response to detecting that a monitored temperature exceeds a critical threshold temperature.

  • Patent number: 11350278
Abstract: One apparatus includes a processor that creates a second request on behalf of a remote unit from a first request received from a non-3GPP access network, the second request including a subscriber identity of the remote unit. The processor sends the second request to a mobile core to initiate connection of the remote unit to the mobile core and receives a third request from the mobile core, the first request being part of a first authentication procedure and the third request being part of a NAS authentication procedure different than the first authentication procedure. The processor transforms the third request into a fourth request of the first authentication procedure and uses an authentication response of the first authentication procedure to complete connection of the remote unit to the mobile core.

  • Patent number: 11340296
Abstract: A solid state switch (SSS) monitoring system of an electronic device includes a SSS sensing component that is electrically coupled to a solid state switch. The SSS sensing component periodically generates a clocked pulse that polls the solid state switch. The SSS sensing component determines whether an electrical characteristic of an output of the solid state switch indicates that the solid state switch is actuated. The SSS sensing component generates a switch state signal to indicate a corresponding one of an actuated and an unactuated state of the solid state switch. A controller is communicatively coupled to the SSS sensing component. The controller restarts the SSS sensing component in response to determining that the SSS sensing component is in an inoperative state.
