Abstract: In aspects of data routing based on application restriction designation, applications of a computing device can be designated as restricted applications to utilize secure network data or as unrestricted applications to utilize unsecure network data. A first data sharing session is connected over an unsecure wireless network for an unrestricted application executing on the computing device. In response to detecting a restricted application executing on the computing device, a second data sharing session is connected which causes a mobile device to provide cellular data to the computing device over a secure cellular network.

  • Patent number: 11770246
Abstract: A multi-processor device includes a first processor implemented with a secured key derivation and storage component and a second processor implemented without a secured key derivation and storage component. In operation, the second processor is configured to execute an initial boot process by loading a limited functionality boot image when the multi-processor device is powered on. During the execution of the initial boot process, the second processor provisions a secure storage container to hold a key material and sends a request to the first processor for a key material. In response, the second processor receives a key material derived at the first processor. The second processor then stores the key material in a volatile memory portion of the secure storage container. The second processor executes a main boot process only after erasing instances of the key material temporarily stored outside of the secure storage container.

  • Patent number: 11770612
Abstract: An electronic device includes a device housing supporting a user interface, one or more touch sensors, and at least one image capture device. One or more processors cause, in response to the user interface receiving user input initiating a video capture operation, the at least one image capture device to capture a plurality of video frames. The plurality of video frames are processed with a first video stabilization operation when the electronic device is supported by a multi-handed touch input and a second video stabilization operation when the electronic device is supported by a single-handed touch input. The first video stabilization operation crops less of each image than the second video stabilization operation since the electronic device is likely more stable when supported by the multi-handed touch input.

  • Patent number: 11763177
Abstract: An electronic device includes a capacitive driver that is electrically coupled to a pair of conductive plates coupled to a housing and electrically isolated by a dielectric material. The conductive plates are positioned to change relative orientation in relation to deformation of the housing in a first direction. A controller identifies a first capacitance of the pair of conductive plates associated with the housing being in a normal alignment relative to the first direction. The controller presents an object on a user interface device in a first kinematic state. The controller detects, via the first capacitor driver, a change in capacitance from the first capacitance to a second capacitance of the pair of conductive plates. The controller associates the change to a first user input. The controller presents the object on the user interface device in a second kinematic state based on the first user input.

Abstract: Techniques for eliminating bias in selectively edited videos are provided. A request to release a video capturing a public safety incident is received. The video is edited to create an edited video. At least one civilian score and at least one public safety official score based on the sentiment of the video is computed. At least one edited civilian score and at least one edited public safety official score based on the sentiment of the video is computed. A first score is computed based on a combination of the civilian score and public safety official score. A second score is computed based on a combination of the edited civilian score and edited public safety official score.
