Abstract: A method of checking the authenticity of at least a first portion of the content of a non-volatile memory of an electronic device including a microcontroller and an embedded secure element is disclosed. The method includes starting the microcontroller with instructions stored in a first secure memory area associated with the microcontroller and starting the secure element. The secure element has a plurality of decipher keys, each associated with a portion of the content of a second reprogrammable non-volatile memory area associated with the microcontroller. The secure element performs a signature check on a first portion of the content of the second area. If the signature is verified, the secure element sends the decipher key associated with the first portion to the microcontroller. If the signature is not verified, the secure element executes a signature check on another portion of the content of the second memory area.

Abstract: A method for pre-positioning data based on a user attribute is disclosed. The method includes retrieving audit information that corresponds to a user, the audit information including the user attribute; determining, by using a model, a user characteristic for the user based on the audit information, the user characteristic including a probability value and a geographical location; comparing the user characteristic with a predetermined threshold; identifying raw data from a networked platform, the raw data corresponding to the user; generating a structured data set for the user based on the user characteristic; and persisting the structured data set in an edge computing repository based on a result of the comparing, the edge computing repository corresponding to the geographical location.

Abstract: A shaving system includes a shaving device and a cleaning device. The cleaning device includes a receiving space for receiving the shaving device and a reservoir that contains a cleaning liquid. When the shaving device is placed in a cleaning position, the shaving device and the cleaning device are arranged in a manner that the receiving space of the cleaning device receives a shaving unit of the shaving device. In this cleaning position, the devices are arranged and cooperate such that the fluid is transported from the reservoir to the receiving space, where the shaving unit is located. In this way, the shaving unit can be cleaned.

Abstract: Examples described herein relate to determining an actual, updated goal of a user based on emotional response data captured while an initial goal is visualized or otherwise perceived by the user, including determining an initial goal of a user, displaying an initial video depicting the initial goal, tracking, with an emotion-tracking device, emotions of the user while the video is displayed by the output circuit by determining emotional response data captured by the emotion-tracking device, updating the initial goal based on the emotional response data to determine an updated goal, and displaying the updated goal.

Abstract: A method for indicating period information of a common control resource set (CORESET) of remaining key system information (RMSI), includes: adding indication information to a physical broadcast channel (PBCH) of a synchronous broadcast block (SSB), wherein the indication information includes first indication information, and the first indication information is used for indicating a positional relationship between a half radio frame where a CORESET of RMSI corresponding to the SSB is located and a half radio frame where the SSB is located; and sending, in a beam scanning manner, the SSB carrying the indication information to user equipment (UE).

Abstract: An example system creates a video based on a user's financial profile for a specified time period and displays the video on a virtual reality device to help the user visualize the user's financial decisions resulting in the user's current financial status as well as visualize the user's predicted financial status in the future. The system analyzes the user's historical financial transactional data, profile information and relevant market and peer information to extract and predict one or more data points regarding the user's financial profile from the past, present and the future. The system generates a video about the user's financial profile by creating a storyline based on the one or more data points.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a system and a method for high-voltage switching for a computed tomography apparatus. The system comprises an oscillating circuit with a non-linear inductor and a capacitor. The inductor and the capacitor are connected in series, and the capacitor is connected to a high-voltage line of a high-voltage power supply. The inductor comprises an inductance that decreases with increasing current through the inductor, such that the inductance of the inductor significantly chances during a resonant operation of the oscillating circuit, thereby providing essentially a square voltage applied to the capacitor. The square voltage modulates the high-voltage of the high-voltage generator thus switching high-voltage levels applied to an electrode of a computed tomography system.

Abstract: Disclosed is an in vitro method for assessing whether a human subject has periodontitis. The method comprises detecting, in a sample of saliva from said subject, the concentrations of the proteins Hepatocyte Growth Factor (HGF) and Matrix Metalloproteinase 8 (MMP-8). Based on the concentrations determined, and adding age, and possibly other demographic markers such as sex and/or BMI, a testing value reflecting the joint concentrations is determined for said proteins, in combination with one or more demographic markers. The testing value is compared with a threshold value. The threshold reflects in the same manner the joint concentrations and the age, and possibly other demographic markers, as associated with periodontitis and may be seen as an upper limit of testing values as seen in a population of subjects without periodontitis. Thereby a testing value at or above the threshold value is indicative for periodontitis in said subject.

Abstract: The present disclosure describes ultrasound imaging systems and methods configured to identify ovarian follicles by applying a neural network to pre-processed ultrasound image frames. Systems may include an ultrasound transducer configured to acquire echo signals responsive to ultrasound pulses transmitted toward a target region. One or more processors communicatively coupled with the ultrasound transducer may be configured to generate at least one image from the ultrasound echoes. A threshold may be applied to the image frame that differentiates pixels representative of an ovarian follicle present in the target region from other subject matter. The processors may apply a neural network to the thresholded image frame, in which the neural network determines the presence of the ovarian follicle in the thresholded image frame. The processors also may generate an indicator based on the presence of the ovarian follicle and display the indicator on a user interface.

Abstract: Systems and methods for an account-linked piggy bank are described. The system includes a piggy bank comprising a compartment, a lid, a sensor, a lock, a network interface, and a processing circuit. The processing circuit is configured to associate the piggy bank with a first account of a user. The processing circuit is further configured to receive, decoded coin data from an encodable physical coin, wherein the decoded coin data includes a transaction request indicating a currency amount to be transferred to the first account from a second account. The processing circuit is configured to transmit the transaction request to a provider computing system. The processing circuit is further configured to receive a transaction request confirmation from the provider computing system and transmit a notification to a user device of the user indicating the currency amount has been deposited into the first account of the user.

Abstract: A system and computer program are provided for computer aided diagnosis or monitoring of heart failure patients. The system and computer program obtain patient data representing measurements of a select and limited set of health indicators of a patient. A trained classifier is applied to the patient data to obtain a classification of the occurrence or degree of heart failure for the patient. The limited set of health indicators is specifically selected from a large set of health indicators which are known to be predictive of heart failure on the basis of a clinical study which demonstrated the accuracy of the classification using this select set.

Abstract: In one example, a video conferencing method to align video conference participant windows is disclosed. The method determines a position of a camera that captures images of a video conference participant. The method determines which one of multiple participant windows is a speaker participant window and aligns the speaker participant window with the position of the camera. The method may capture user-input parameters of an area adjacent to the camera to position the speaker participant window.

Abstract: The present disclosure describes ultrasound systems and methods configured to determine the elasticity of a target tissue. Systems can include an ultrasound transducer configured to acquire echoes responsive to ultrasound pulses transmitted toward the tissue, which may include a region of increased stiffness. Systems can also include a beamformer configured to control the transducer to transmit a push pulse into the tissue, thereby generating a shear wave in the region of increased stiffness. The beamformer can be configured to control the transducer to emit tracking pulses adjacent to the push pulse. Systems can further include a processor configured to determine a displacement amplitude of the shear wave and based on the amplitude, generate a qualitative tissue elasticity map of the tissue. The processor can combine the qualitative map with a quantitative map of the same tissue, and based on the combination, determine a boundary of the region of increased stiffness.
