Each of the feature amounts comprises a first feature amount expressing a global relative positional relation of each pixel constituting an image with respect to pixels of the entire image, and a second feature amount expressing a local relative positional relation of each pixel constituting each of the images with respect to its adjacent pixels. Component images and at least one combination image formed therefrom are linked to a search target image and feature amounts about these respective images are compared with a feature amount about an input image and a search target image linked to a component/combination image that is similar to the input image is displayed.

    Abstract: A distance image sensor capable of enlarging the distance measurement range without reducing the distance resolution is provided. A radiation source 13 provides first to fifth pulse trains PT1 to PT5 which are irradiated to the object as radiation pulses in the first to fifth frames arranged in order on a time axis. In each of the frames, imaging times TPU1 to TPU5 are prescribed at points of predetermined time ?TPD from the start point of each frame, also the pulses PT1 to PT5 are shifted respectively by shift amounts different from each other from the start point of the first to fifth frames. A pixel array 23 generates element image signals SE1 to SE5 each of which has distance information of an object in distance ranges different from each other using imaging windows A and B in each of five frames. A processing unit 17 generates an image signal SIMAGE by combining the element image signals.

The L-fucose ?1?6 specific lectin of the present invention is characterized in that: (1) the lectin is extracted from a basidiomycete or an ascomycete; (2) the lectin has a molecular weight by sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE) of 4,000 to 40,000; and (3) the lectin has an affinity to an L-fucose ?1?6 sugar chain, the affinity being represented by an association constant of 1.0×104M?1 or more (at 25 degrees C.). The lectin can be used for detecting an L-fucose ?1?6 sugar chain specifically, and is effective for the purification of an L-fucose ?1?6 sugar chain or a non L-fucose ?1?6 sugar chain.

    Abstract: A strain sensor includes a flexible substrate, a CNT film made of a plurality of CNT fibers aligned in an orientation direction, a pair of electrodes, and a protective coat. The electrodes are formed at the opposite ends of the CNT film in a perpendicular direction to the orientation direction of the CNT fibers. The protective coat protecting the CNT film is made of a resin, a water-based emulsion, or an oil-based emulsion. The protective coat is placed in contact with at least part of the CTN fibers on the surface of the CNT film. The strain sensor including the protective coat is able to prevent damage/breakage of the CNT film and to prevent foreign matters from entering into gaps between CNT fibers, thus improving durability in maintaining adequate sensing functionality.

An unexposed portion of the operation site is measured with ultrasonic waves during the surgical operation, and second position information that represents a three-dimensional position of each of points in the unexposed portion is acquired. Based on the first position information and the second position information, displacement and distortion at a portion whose three-dimensional position is not known in the three-dimensional model is estimated to obtain an estimated result.

The light received by the other photodiode is also transmitted through the superficial layer and deep layer of the tissue.
