Abstract: The display unit of the present invention includes a metal reinforcing component that reinforces a handle portion that is formed integrally with a rear surface side of a synthetic resin housing and has a finger insertion space provided on a bottom side thereof. As a result, strength can be secured without the thickness of the handle plate portion being made thicker.

Abstract: A distance measuring system comprising: a transmitter that simultaneously emits an infrared radiation and an ultrasonic wave; and a receiver that include a table showing a relationship between an arrival time, indicative of a period from detection of the received infrared radiation to detection of the received ultrasonic wave, and a required received signal strength of the ultrasonic wave corresponding to the arrival time when the ultrasonic wave is directly received, that compares the received signal strength of the ultrasonic wave with a required received signal strength corresponding to the arrival time retrieved from the table, and that calculates the distance to the transmitter based on the arrival time when the received signal strength of the ultrasonic wave is higher than the required received signal strength corresponding to the arrival time retrieved from the table.
Abstract: A light emitting element driving device of the present invention comprises at least one light emitting element and a power supply device for generating a driving current of the light emitting element. The power supply device has a step-up type DC-DC converter circuit. The step-up type DC-DC converter circuit has a soft-start function for gradually increasing the driving current at a rise of the driving current in generation of the driving current. Thus can be provided a light emitting element driving device which is capable of suppressing an inrush current to be generated at turn-on of the main power supply of the power supply device.
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to realize a transmission distortion correction system for allowing an image signal including a plurality of picture signals to be corrected, and to realize an image signal transmitter and an image display unit.
Abstract: Disclosed is a display holding device which retains one or more displays in such a way that they move laterally and smoothly. The display holding device, which is installed between at least one display and a supporting body supporting the display, includes (1) a guide mechanism secured to the supporting body, and (2) at least one holding mechanism for transmitting, to the guide mechanism, a moment due to weight of the display, and being secured to the display. In addition, the guide mechanism includes (a) a guide portion spanning laterally, and (b) a stopper placed along the guide portion. The holding mechanism includes (c) a slider mating with the guide portion in a slidable manner, and (d) a contact portion facing the stopper. The stopper blocks the contact portion from being displaced in the direction of the moment, and allows it to be displaced in the opposite direction.

Abstract: A reflection optical system placed between a light valve 5 and a screen 4, wherein curved surfaces are only three reflection surfaces of first to third mirrors 1 to 3, and satisfies the following: (1) ?L<20 degrees, (2) 25 degrees<?UL<55 degrees, (3) 20 degrees<?M1<55 degrees, (4) 15 degrees<?M2<50 degrees, (5) 8 degrees<?M3<30 degrees, (6) ?L<15 degrees, (7) 30 degrees<?UL and (8) 7.5 degrees<|?F|, where ?L: minimum angle which a light beam of pupil center forms with respect to the enlargement side image surface; ?UL: difference between maximum and minimum angles which a light beam of pupil center forms with respect to the enlargement side image surface; ?M1, ?M2 and ?M3: deviation angles of the light beam of pupil center passing the center of the reduction-side image surface in first to third mirrors 1 to 3; and ?F: reduction-side pupil divergent angle.

Abstract: An exemplary aspect of the present invention provides an illuminating optical system for a projector including a light source and a plurality of display panels, the illuminating optical system that includes a first integrator that includes a plurality of lens cells that divide a luminous flux emitted by the light source into a plurality of partial luminous fluxes and that condense the respective partial luminous fluxes, a second integrator that includes a plurality of lens cells on which the respective partial luminous fluxes are incident, a polarization converting element that uniformizes polarizing directions of the luminous fluxes that have passed through the respective lens cells of the second integrator, and color separating unit that separates each of the luminous flux from the polarization converting element into a plurality of color lights of different wavelengths, and wherein a field lens and a condenser lens are arranged between the polarization converting element and the separating unit to superimp
Abstract: A luminance correcting apparatus has a sensor for detecting luminances of reflected lights of projected lights individually in each of at least two colors which are reflected from a screen, a first memory for storing information representing luminances of the reflected lights in the respective colors which are detected by the sensor, a second memory for storing information representing predetermined reference luminances of the reflected lights in the respective colors, and a luminance correcting data generator for generating luminance correcting data by comparing the information stored in the first memory and the information stored in the second memory.
Abstract: An illumination optical apparatus and a projection type display apparatus capable of preventing an image on boundary lines of a fly-eye lens from deviating from a designed position and preventing unevenness of brightness is provided: wherein a first lens holding member holding said first fly-eye lens; a second lens holding member joined to said first lens holding member, and holding said second fly-eye lens; and a third lens holding member joined to said second lens holding member, and holding an optical lens are provided; and said first lens holding member and said second lens holding member are joined to be relatively rotatable about an optical axis.
