Abstract: Electric equipment, and a method and a program for preventing the unauthorized use of same, by which it is possible to prevent the theft of electric equipment installed in an environment where the electric equipment is available for the use of an unspecified number of users and the stealing of information stored in the electric equipment.
Abstract: An electronic whiteboard system has light emitting elements mounted on ultrasonic wave receivers of a signal processor, and an imager device for imaging the light emitting elements and a projection test pattern of a projector to acquire a positional relationship between the light emitting elements and an image projected from the projector. The electronic whiteboard system can facilitate initialization of the coordinates with the acquired positional relationship.
Abstract: In a video display device of the present invention, a main control unit is equipped with a user interface for varying correction values set to a range correction unit and controls a range correction unit by acquiring the corresponding correction values from a storage unit in accordance with correction level information input by the user interface. The storage unit stores range correction values for the video display unit in correspondence with each piece of the correction level information input by the user interface. Thus, it is possible to correct luminance ranges to suit the user's preference without causing a large luminance reduction.

Abstract: In the case when password data (PW1) added to a TV broadcasting signal and password data (PW2) transmitted from an Internet connection section (2) have a predetermined correlation with each other, the display section (3) is allowed to display the corresponding contents normally. Therefore, accounting processes are imposed on the transmission of the password data (PW2) so that a normal displaying operation is charged in an indirect manner for each of the contents.
Abstract: A pump unit includes a pump body for discharging compressed air, a communication pipe including an elastic material and having one end fitted into a discharge port, and a pump fixture for fixing part of the communication pipe except for the one end fitted into the discharge port. The pump body is fixed only by the pump fixture.
Abstract: The present invention provides a liquid crystal display capable of detecting external light by an optical sensor without providing a window in front of a product. A top face of a liquid crystal display panel (18) corresponds to a display surface. A light-guiding plate (19) is disposed on a rear face of the liquid crystal display panel (18). A backlight (9) shown in FIG. 1 is attached to the light-guiding plate (19). Light emitted from the backlight (9) is guided to the display surface of the liquid crystal display panel (18) by the light-guiding plate (19). A reflection sheet (20) is disposed on a bottom face of the light-guiding plate (19). An optical sensor (10) is attached to a side face of the light-guiding plate (19) with its light-receiving face facing the inside of the light-guiding plate (19).
Abstract: An illumination optical apparatus and a projection type display apparatus capable of enhancing an illumination efficiency; having an ellipsoidal mirror, a light source arranged at a first focal point of the ellipsoidal mirror, a stop arranged closer to said light source side by a predetermined distance from a second focal point of said ellipsoidal mirror, and a positive refractive collimator lens for collimating a light flux emitted from the stop to a parallel light flux. A condition (0.01<L2/L1<0.06) is satisfied where, L1 is a distance from an apex of the ellipsoidal mirror to the second focal point thereof and, L2 (the light source side is a positive distance) is a distance from the second focal point of the ellipsoidal mirror to the stop.
