Abstract: Disclose is a method and system for sharing search result using messenger. A messenger client generates search request information and receives web page data corresponding to the search request information. A search server receives the search request information from the messenger client and performs a search for one or more keywords included in the search request information to transmit search result page data to the messenger client. When the search result page is transmitted from the search server, a layer coupled to a conversation window is formed to display the search result page and allow users to share the information on web page corresponding to the search results when requested.

Abstract: A method for detecting similar documents includes extracting an entity from each of a first web document and a second web document; determining an importance contribution element corresponding to each of the web documents; calculating, using the processor, weights for each entity based on the determined importance contribution elements; and determining whether the web documents are similar documents based on the calculated weights. A device to detect similar documents includes a storage device; an entity extractor stored on the storage device and configured to extract an entity from a first web document and a second web document and to determine an importance contribution element from each of the web documents; a weight calculator configured to calculate weights of each entity based on the determined importance contribution elements; and a similar document detection unit configured to determine whether the web documents are similar documents based on the calculated weights.

The unified communication system may include a communication tool provider to provide a communication tool for at least one communication server associated with a user; a login manager to manage login information of the user when the user is logged in to two or more terminals simultaneously through respective communication tools on the two or more terminals, respectively, the login manager storing the login information of the user in a storage unit; a terminal determining unit to determine, among the two or more terminals, at least one terminal to which data associated with the user is to be transmitted based on the login information; and a communication unit to transmit the data to the at least one determined terminal.

Abstract: Disclosed is a system and method for visualizing a visitor's activity in a community such as a cafe, homepage, blog, miniroom, or mini-homepage, and the like, which are established in web sites on the Internet. The method includes the steps of: a) by a visitor, accessing the community and selecting a community activity visualizing item prepared in the community; b) by the visitor, selecting one of a plurality of blocks forming an image of the community activity visualizing item; c) by the visitor, leaving a visitor log in a text input window corresponding to the selected block; and d) storing data in which the visit log is recorded and updating the community activity visualizing item.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method of editing text using a web-based text editor. The method comprises opening a document using a web-based text editor; receiving a first user input for selecting a block of text in the document; in reply to the first user input, inserting, into a source code of the document, a first temporary node before the selected block and a second temporary node after the selected block; receiving a second user input for applying an attribute to the selected block; and in reply to the second user input, adding an attribute node between the first and second temporary nodes of the source code so as to apply the attribute to at least part of the block of the document.

Abstract: Disclosed is an event alerting system and method using dynamic local grouping for 1:N event alerting. The event alerting method for an event alerting server to transmit an event message to clients connected on a network includes a) receiving an event alerting request from clients having generated events, or generating an event by the event alerting server, b) grouping the clients according to areas with reference to a transmission distance to the respective clients according to a client list by the event alerting server, c) transmitting a client list of the grouped areas and an alerting data packet to a plurality of master clients selected by the grouping process, and d) transmitting a client list and an alerting data packet to a master client from the master client of an upper group up to the last layer established by performing the grouping process again.

Abstract: A system and method for generating a unique link (i.e., map permalink) of mash-up map data including various information are provided. The system receives a request for generation of the map permalink of specific mash-up map data, and generates a map URL including map information in response to the request for generation of the map permalink. Also, the system generates at least one of an advertisement layer identifier, an additional service data identifier, and a user-generated data identifier, combines the generated identifier with the map URL, and stores the combined identifier together with related data.

Abstract: A method for searching for a Chinese character using a tone mark and system for executing the method is provided. The method includes: receiving a search term from a user; verifying a type of said received search term based on at least a portion of said received search term wherein the type includes at least one phonetic Chinese language or at least one Chinese character; and providing a search result based, at least in part, upon the verified type in response to the user's search request wherein the search result include dictionary definition of at least one Chinese character associated with the received search term.

Abstract: A method of providing additional information related to content of an e-mail is disclosed. The method includes receiving emails for a user: analyzing content of such a received email and identifying an information type of one or more strings in the content based, at least in part, upon predetermined information patterns; searching additional information related to basic information associated with a string in accordance with the identified information type; and displaying the additional information in response to receiving a user-initiated selection. The present invention is a method and system for providing additional information related to content of an e-mail such that the user can obtain additional information related to content of an e-mail without leaving the web page showing the email.

Abstract: A method and system for analyzing competition results is disclosed, the method comprising providing a probability model to analyze competition results including both information about options used for a competition process, and rank information of competition participants; and determining a first parameter about a pure ability of each competition participant, and a second parameter about advantages and disadvantages of the option used for the competition process by analyzing the competition results using the probability model, wherein the first and second parameters are determined by calculating a prior distribution of the second random variable, calculating a likelihood function of the second random variable, and estimating the first and second parameter through the use of the prior distribution of the second random variable and the likelihood function.
