The method of installing the shortcut on the desktop may include importing a connecting application and activating an installation function on a browser providing a web service, importing a uniform resource locator (URL) scheme specified by the connecting application, and installing a shortcut to the web service on the desktop.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method and system for providing memo in electronic mail. Memo data is further added to general mail data. Electronic mail sender sends electronic mail including memo data. The memo data may be inserted in the mime header or may be inserted in the form of attachment file, or may be inserted in the mail body. Besides that mail sender inserts memo data, mail receiver can also insert memo data to received mail for mail management. Users can check identify mail more conveniently through memo related to mail. A memo icon is provided in mail read page, and memo is displayed to users when mouse event on the memo icon occurs.

Abstract: A method and system for searching for a related term having rapidly increasing popularity is provided. The method includes: analyzing a search log and extracting a daily search frequency for each search term; comparing peaks of the daily search frequency, extracted for each search term in a predetermined period; and analyzing relevance between candidate search terms in which the peaks have occurred together in the predetermined period as a result of the comparison and filtering out a candidate search term having no relevance.

Abstract: A system and method for managing membership in real-time using a community page that enables communication between a member and a provider is disclosed herein. The membership management system may include an information transferring unit to transfer access information, used to encourage an access to a community page associated with or created by the provider, to at least one member, and a business information providing unit to provide business information of the provider to members who access the community page, via the community page. The membership management system may transmit information associated with an access to a community page to a member, thereby encouraging the member to access the community page. Therefore, the community page may provide real-time communication between the provider and the member.

Abstract: A method and system of relaying a one-to-one question and answer which is performed in a network via a one-to-one question and answer relay system, the method including: assigning event occurrence information to request for transmission of question data to a service webpage; providing a question bridge page to a terminal of a first user where an event based on the event occurrence information occurred; receiving the question data from the terminal of the first user when a question registration request about a second user is received from the terminal of the first user via the question bridge page; storing the received question data in an answer request area of the second user; and storing answer data about the question data in an answer check area of the first user, the answer data being received from a terminal of the second user.

The system includes a messenger service system controlling transmission of instant messages of messenger users and monitoring and transmitting messenger users' status change information; at least one external service system monitoring whether a predetermined event occurs and creating a notification message indicating the occurrence of the event when the event occurs; and a synchronization server receiving the messenger users' status change information from the messenger service system, storing the received status change information in an online user database, determining whether a user to receive the notification message is online when receiving the notification message from the at least one external service system, transmitting the notification message to the messenger service system to send the notification message to the online user when the user is online.

Abstract: A system and method for providing a search result based on a personal network are disclosed. The search result providing system may include a search term reception unit, a personal network extraction unit, and a search result providing unit which may receive a search term from a user. The personal network extraction unit may extract at least one of a personal network associated with the search term, and a personal network associated with the user. The search result providing unit may provide documents associated with the personal networks as a search result of the search term. A search result optimized for the user may be provided to the user by searching for information corresponding to the search term from communities joined by another user having similar interests to that of the user, or communities joined by the user, based on personal networks of the user.
