    Abstract: There is here provided a thermoplastic resin composition which comprises (I) 50 to 99% by weight of a polyamide resin, and (II) 50 to 1% by weight of a multi-phase structure thermoplastic resin which is composed of 5 to 95% by weight of at least one ethylene copolymer selected from the group consisting of epoxy group-containing ethylene copolymers, ethylene-unsaturated carboxylic acids, alkyl ester copolymers and metallic salts of the ethylene-unsaturated carboxylic acids, and ethylene-vinyl ester copolymers, and 95 to 5% by weight of a vinyl polymer or copolymer obtained from at least one vinyl monomer, either of both the components possessing a dispersion phase where each particle has a diameter of 0.001 to 10 .mu.m. A method for preparing the above-mentioned thermoplastic resin composition is also provided here.

    Abstract: A continuous process for preparing a metallic soap by a double decomposition process is disclosed, in which an aqueous solution of an alkali soap and an inorganic metal salt are separately fed directly on the surface of the rotating impeller of a mixer to instantaneously mix them together and the resulting metallic soap aqueous slurry is discharged out from the mixer without delay. Metallic soaps free from contamination with unreacted starting materials or by-products can be continuously obtained using small-sized reactor vessels with a reduced energy.

    Abstract: A flavored konnyaku compositon contains a konnyaku gel structure having a pH value ranging within 6 to 8 substantially uniformly in its entirety and a seasoning material distributed in the gel structure substantially uniformly in its entirety. A process for preparing the flavored konnyaku composition involves solating a starting material containing powdered konnyaku, an acidic agent coated with and encapsulated in a coating agent and a seasoning material, adding an alkaline coagulating agent to the starting material to gelate the starting material to obtain a konnyaku gel structure, and heating and melting the coating agent of the acidic agent encapsulated therein present in the gel structure to thereby release the acidic agent into the gel structure.

    Abstract: A wireless detonator is disclosed that includes an antenna for receiving microwaves, a detonator provided with a heating element, and a transmission circuit. The heating element in the detonator is heated by the energy of the microwaves. The transmission circuit transmits the microwave energy from the antenna directly to the heating element. The antenna has a relative gain of 0 to 20 dB in the frequency band of the microwaves. The absolute value of the reactance component in the radiation impedance of the antenna is at most 50% of the pure resistance component of that impedance. The absolute value of the reactance component in the impedance of the heating element is at most 50% of the pure resistance component of that impedance. The pure resistance components of the radiation impedance of the antenna and of the impedance of the heating element are in a range of 70 to 130% of the characteristic impedance of the transmission circuit.

The particulate resin has an average particle size ranging from 0.01 to 1 .mu.m. The weight ratio ((2)/(1)) in solid content between the particulate resin (2) cationic thermosetting resin (1) is within a range from 0.03 to 0.15.
