The photosensitive composition is useful for the preparation of a flexographic printing plate.

The diene polymer rubber having a primary amino group is obtained by allowing a diene polymer having an active metal bound to the polymer molecule, to react with a N-unsubstituted aziridine compound. The rubber composition is made advantageously by a process wherein the above-mentioned rubber ingredient is mixed with silica, and then, additives other than the silica are incorporated in the rubber ingredient/silica mixture.     Abstract: A vic-dichloro-fluorinated alkene of the formula: R.sup.1 --CCl.dbd.CCl--R.sup.2, and a fluorinated alkane of the formula: R.sup.1 --CR.sup.3 R.sup.4 --CR.sup.5 R.sup.6 --R.sup.2, wherein each of R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 independently represents a perfluoroalkyl group or both of R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 form together a perfluoroalkylene group, and R.sup.3, R.sup.4, R.sup.5 and R.sup.6 independently represent hydrogen or fluorine, are produced from an inexpensive raw material. More specifically, hexachlorocyclopentadiene is reacted with gaseous chlorine using an antimony catalyst, and then the reaction product is reacted with hydrogen fluoride to give 1,2-dichlorohexafluorocyclopentene. Thus-obtained compound is either (i) hydrogenated, or (ii) treated with a fluorinating agent to substitute the chlorine atoms by fluorine atoms, and then hydrogenated, to give the intended fluorinated alkane.

The double tube comprises an outer tube having a lumen extending from the distal end to the proximal end, and an inner tube which is provided within the outer tube and has a lumen extending from the distal end to the proximal end, wherein a longitudinal member in the strip form is provided as a connecting member which continuously connects the inner surface of the outer tube to the outer surface of the inner tube in the axial direction. A balloon catheter can be easily produced by using this double tube.

A photosensitive elastomer composition is obtained by kneading 65 parts by weight of a phosphoric acid ester group-containing random copolymer (monomers composition: 60% of butadiene, 9% of methyl methacrylate, 20% of 2-methacryloxyethyl phosphate, 10% of styrene and 1% of divinylbenzene), 35 parts by weight of a polystyrene-polybutadiene-polystyrene type block copolymer, 15 parts by weight of 1,7-heptanediol dimethacrylate, 1 part by weight of benzoin methyl ether and 0.02 part of methylhydroquinone. By interposing this photosensitive elastomer composition between two polyester films and pressurizing them with a press, a photosensitive rubber plate having a total thickness of 3 mm is obtained.

    Abstract: An saturated nitrile-conjugated diene copolymer obtained by copolymerizing acrylonitrile with butadiene in the presence of a free radical initiator and an alkylthiol compound as a molecular weight modifier. A part of the molecular weight modifier is incorporated in a monomer charge before polymerization, and the remainder thereof is incorporated in a polymerization mixture during polymerization. The alkylthiol compound has 12 to 16 carbon atoms, which include at least three tertiary carbon atoms, and further has a sulfur atom directly bound to at least one of the tertiary carbon atoms. The copolymer has a Mooney viscosity of 15 to 150 and contains 3 to 20 weight % of a fraction having a number average molecular weight of not larger than 35,000. The copolymer is used in combination with a sulfur-containing vulcanizer.

    Abstract: An oil hose comprised of (i) an inner layer made of a vulcanized hydrogenated nitrile rubber composition, an intermediate layer made of a vulcanized unsaturated nitrile-conjugated diene copolymer rubber composition, and an outer layer made of a vulcanized ozone-resistant rubber composition, or (ii) an inner layer made of a vulcanized rubber composition comprising a hydrogenated copolymer rubber composed of an unsaturated nitrile, a conjugated diene and a copolymerizable ethylenically unsaturated monomer, and an outer layer made of a vulcanized ozone-resistant rubber composition. This hose has good oil resistance, thermal resistance and copper ion resistance, and caulking in the portion thereof connected to a copper pipe is strong and oil leakage at a low temperature is prevented.
