Abstract: A flexible package made with a multilayer polyethylene film and an integral fitment; and a process to prepare the flexible package are disclosed. The amount of polyethylene used to prepare the package is at least 90 weight % of the total weight of polymer used to prepare the package, which allows the package to be recycled. The fitment is made from a linear low density polyethylene which facilitates the manufacture of the package.

Abstract: A catalyst for oxidative dehydrogenation (ODH) of ethane with an empirical formula Mo—V—Te—Nb—Pd—O produced using a process comprising impregnation of the Pd component on the surface of the catalyst following a calcination step using a Pd compound free of halogens. The resulting catalyst can be used in both diluted and undiluted ODH processes and shows higher than expected activity without any loss of selectivity.

Abstract: A method for manually or semi-manually mapping an urban environment to locate a safe, traversable path within the environment is provided herein. An area is mapped by an entity that traverses sidewalks, ramps, driveways, crosswalks, and other terrain in the area to create a memory of usable paths to reach addressed destinations. A human operator, possibly assisted by a computer-executed mathematical algorithm, approves routes that are considered safe. When a route is approved, it enters the memory as a safe, traversable route. If a route is not approved, it is marked as unsafe and the entity finds an alternate route to get to the same location such as by going around the block or in another direction.
Abstract: A method for manually or semi-manually re-mapping an urban environment during delivery operations by an autonomous vehicle is provided herein. In an embodiment of the invention, an autonomous delivery vehicle performs delivery operations within an urban environment. The urban environment can comprise a city or a portion of a city such as a neighborhood. The autonomous vehicle traverses along a previously mapped and scanned route that has been determined to be safe and traversable for the delivery vehicle. As it traverses the route, the delivery vehicle scans the route again using the same sensors that were used to scan the route initially. If a sensor delta is exceeded, the vehicle may execute any one or combination of notifying an operator, deciding, choosing a different route, continuing, or executing a contingency plan.
Abstract: This disclosure relates to ethylene interpolymer compositions. Specifically, ethylene interpolymer products having: a Dilution Index (Yd) greater than 0; total catalytic metal ?3.0 ppm; ?0.03 terminal vinyl unsaturations per 100 carbon atoms, and; optionally a Dimensionless Modulus (Xd) greater than 0. The disclosed ethylene interpolymer products have a melt index from about 0.3 to about 500 dg/minute, a density from about 0.869 to about 0.975 g/cm3, a polydispersity (Mw/Mn) from about 2 to about 25 and a CDBI50 from about 20% to about 97%. Further, the ethylene interpolymer products are a blend of at least two ethylene interpolymers; where one ethylene interpolymer is produced with a single-site catalyst formulation and at least one ethylene interpolymer is produced with a heterogeneous catalyst formulation.

Abstract: A golf tee for guiding the trajectory of a golf ball is described herein. The golf tee comprises a penetrating element located at the bottom of a stem which allows the insertion of the golf tee into the ground surface and an angled launch platform adapted to guide the ball when hit by a golf club. The launch platform generally comprises a depression and a launch ramp adapted to receive and retain a golf ball. The golf tee generally improves the golf ball's trajectory by imparting proper spin which allows the ball to remain longer in the air.
Abstract: A new phosphinimine polymerization catalyst exhibits restricted rotation about a carbon-phosphorous bond. The restricted rotation is demonstrated using variable temperature 1H NMR. Ethylene copolymers made using the catalysts have microstructures which are dependent on the temperature at which polymerization takes place.
Abstract: The invention provides compositions including epinephrine nanoparticles and methods for therapeutic use of the compositions in the treatment of conditions responsive to epinephrine such as a cardiac event or an allergic reaction, particularly anaphylaxis. The epinephrine nanoparticles can be incorporated into orally-disintegrating and fast-disintegrating tablet pharmaceutical formulations and can significantly increase the sublingual bioavailability of epinephrine, and thereby reduce the epinephrine dose required. Additionally, the invention provides methods for fabrication of stabilized epinephrine nanoparticles for use in the described compositions.

Abstract: A continuous solution polymerization process is disclosed wherein at least two homogeneous catalyst formulations are employed. A first homogeneous catalyst formulation is employed in a first reactor to produce a first ethylene interpolymer and a second homogeneous catalyst formulation is employed in a second reactor to produce a second ethylene interpolymer. A means for increasing the molecular weight of the first ethylene interpolymer is disclosed and/or a means for increasing the temperature of the first reactor, relative to the third homogeneous catalyst formulation. A means for reducing the (?-olefin/ethylene) weight ratio in the first reactor is disclosed and/or reducing the density of the first ethylene interpolymer, relative to the third homogeneous catalyst formulation.
