Abstract: Muramic acid measurements in acid hydrolysed digesta samples are used to measure the activity of peptidoglycan hydrolyzing enzyme, as illustrated by the use of a muramidase, as determined by the degree of peptidoglycan hydrolysis, in the gastrointestinal tract of animals fed supplements with the muramidase.
Abstract: The present invention relates to compositions, particularly liquid compositions, comprising polypeptides having beta-galactosidase activity, methods of making said compositions, and uses of the compositions for making e.g. dairy products. The polypeptides having beta-galactosidase activity are modified by glycation of lysine and/or arginine residues by incubating the enzyme in the presence of reducing sugars, optionally combined with a heat treatment. Thereby, transgalactosylating activity is increased.
Abstract: Provided are subtilase variants having improved stability, detergent compositions comprising the variants, use of the variants and detergent compositions in a cleaning process such as laundry or hard surface cleaning such as dishwashing, and methods of producing the variants.

Abstract: The embodiments of the present application provide a maize fiber processing system and a maize wet-milled starch processing system using same. The maize fiber processing system comprises a pressure curved screen group, a fiber washing sink group, an enzyme preparation adding device and an external enzyme reaction tank, wherein the external enzyme reaction tank is used for receiving screen overflow from a middle stage of pressure curved screen or fiber slurry in a middle stage of fiber washing sink and providing a place for enzyme reaction, thereby extending reaction time of enzyme participation. In addition, the reaction efficiency of the enzyme preparation can be further improved by means of controlling the fiber dry substance concentration in the external enzyme reaction tank.
