  • Patent number: 7032471
Abstract: The invention relates to a control device for controlling machines, especially hydraulic machines, by hand or foot. The inventive device comprises an actuating element (1), especially a pedal or a control lever, which can be moved in several directions. The aim of the invention is to feel a resisting force when the actuating element (1) is displaced or adjusted, whereby said force is on the scale of hydraulic forces having a direct effect. The actuating element (1) engages with a transmitter device (3) which is not hydraulic or is hydraulically decoupled from the hydraulic system. A damping device (6) engages with the actuating element (1). Said damping device defies the movement in at least one direction of motion pertaining to the actuating element (1) by means of a fluid that is moved by the actuating element (1).

  • Patent number: 6959497
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for detecting the angle of rotation between two components (1, 2), which are rotatably interconnected via a pin (3). Said device comprises an angle sensor (5), which is directly or indirectly connected to one of the two components (1 or 2) in a rotationally fixed manner and whose sensor shaft (8) is rotatably fixed to the other component (2 or 1) via a lever-shaped driver (9), whereby the angle of rotation is detected by the angle sensor (5) from the twisting of the sensor shaft (8). The aim of the invention is to improve the device of the aforementioned type such that the angle of rotation between two components can be detected in a significantly more precise manner, and such that the device can be used in a more reliable and practical manner. To this end, the invention provides that the sensor shaft (8) is connected to the driver (9) via at least one torsion-proof flexible element (11, 12).

  • Patent number: 6685277
Abstract: A method and apparatus for braking a revolvable superstructure of a working machine by counter-steering. A working machine has a superstructure which is driven by a motor via a transmission. A control lever operates a control valve which sends signals to a pivoting pump. The control lever has at least one neutral position and at least two switching positions. When the control lever is moved to a braking position, a switching logic circuit coupled to the pivoting pump is actuated and reverses the pivoting pump. This reverses the direction of revolution of the superstructure and brakes the revolution of the superstructure by counter-steering. A monitoring device coupled to the switching logic circuit monitors the number of revolutions of the superstructure. The braking is stopped when the monitoring device detects that the superstructure has come to a standstill.

  • Patent number: 5709085
Abstract: A method for cooling hydraulic oil present in an operating circuit of a construction machine, and an installation for cooling hydraulic oil according to the method. The method includes the steps of guiding the hydraulic oil at least partially over an oil cooler and thereafter causing the hydraulic oil to flow into a hydraulic oil tank. The hydraulic oil returning from operating areas of the operating circuit is stored intermediately and has an elevated temperature, the storage occurring in an intermediate reservoir spatially separate from the hydraulic oil present in the hydraulic oil tank prior to causing the hydraulic oil to flow into the hydraulic oil tank. The hydraulic oil is pumped from the intermediate reservoir to the oil cooler for lowering the temperature of the hydraulic oil prior to causing the hydraulic oil to flow into the hydraulic oil tank.

  • Patent number: 5522259
Abstract: A process and apparatus for measuring the wear of a multiple disk brake while a wheel hub is rotationless. A measuring instrument is provided having a screw-like component and a spindle. A plug element located in a predetermined bore of the wheel hub is replaced with the screw-like component. The brakes are actuated, the spindle is moved while the brakes are actuated until the spindle comes into contact with a supporting disk that axially supports the multiple disks. The distance the spindle was moved is ascertained to form a first measured value. The brakes are then released, and the spindle is moved again, until the spindle again comes into contact with the supporting disk. The distance the spindle was moved is ascertained to form a second measured value. The difference between the first measured value and the second measured value is determined to ascertain a piston stroke, and the wear of the multiple disk brakes is ascertained from the piston stroke.
