  • Patent number: 5277370
Abstract: A device for crushing and screening bulk materials consists of a vertical impact mill with associated feeder, an air-charged separator, a discharge device for the final product and a conveyor for returning the insufficiently crushed bulk materials fraction to the crushing region. The vertical impact mill and the separator are arranged on a divided drive shaft, which can be coupled if necessary. The separator is arranged below the vertical impact mill and is designed as a distributor plate, possibly with guide blades. The air is introduced laterally or tangentially below the distributor plate. The finished materials fraction is discharged laterally or tangentially above the distributor plate and conveyed to separator (cyclone) which may be connected downstream. The insufficiently crushed bulk materials fractions are discharged through an outlet below the distributor plate in the base region of the separator.

  • Patent number: 5244383
Abstract: A method and arrangement for reducing the circulation of salts in a cement kiln in which a raw meal heat exchanger feeds material to the kiln. A partial gas stream charged with harmful substances is removed from the kiln through a bypass conduit. The partial gas stream is subjected to a multi-stage process of removing dust. This process includes passing the partial gas stream through a first dust separating stage, followed by returning an uncooled dust component of the partial gas stream to the kiln and cooling the remaining portion of the partial gas stream. The cooled remaining portion of the partial gas stream is subjected to a further dust separating process, and thereafter passed through a further bypass conduit to a location of the raw meal exchanger, which location has a temperature at approximately the same level as the temperature of the remaining portion of the partial gas stream entering the further bypass conduit following the further dust separating process.

  • Patent number: 5232327
Abstract: An arrangement for loading and unloading a ship comprises a boom having an upper portion in the form of a continuous box girder attached to a portal. An upper trackway is supported on a forward region of the boom on top of the box girder. A platform is suspended from a rear region of the boom and has a lower trackway mounted thereon. A movable feed head including an associated supply and discharge device and having one end adapted for cooperating with a loading and unloading device in the forward region of the boom is mounted for moving on the upper and lower trackways. A pylon is attached to a top side of the box girder between the ends of the boom, the upper trackway terminating approximately at the pylon. Guide cables are fixed to the boom and supported by the pylon. A drive is disposed on the box girder in the forward region of the boom for displacing the feed head, and struts are arranged for fixing the feed head to the drive.

  • Patent number: 5215262
Abstract: A process and device for crushing bulk materials. The material to be crushed is fed from above to a first accelerating device which accelerates it into a first crusher, the fine particles in the crushed material produced by the first crusher being carried upwards by an air or gas stream. The larger particles trickle downwards and are then carried by an air or gas stream vertically upwards to another accelerating device which accelerates them into another crusher. The fine particles produced in the second crusher are swept upwards by the air or gas stream, while the larger particles trickle downwards and are brought round to the beginning of the cycle again. The invention concerns the combination of a vertical impact crusher with a separator, both of which are preferably located inside the same housing.

  • Patent number: 5095640
Abstract: A bucket wheel body includes a supporting body having a frustoconical region, a radially outer circumferential region, and a radially inner circumferential region. The frustoconical region forms a carrier body; the radially outer region forms a rounded annular carrier for supporting buckets and the radially inner region forms a rounded hub support. The hub support, the annular carrier and the carrier body form a one-piece construction and jointly define an S-shaped cross section. A disc-shaped hub body is attached to the hub support. The hub body has an outer circumferential edge and a central opening. The outer circumferential edge of the hub body is in engagement with the carrier body, and a terminal edge face of the hub support is in engagement with the hub body along a zone radially inwardly of the outer circumferential edge of the hub body.
