The shoveling mechanism carries a pivotable shovel and at least one cable pulley. A cable hoisting gear engaged with the boom is operable to move the boom. A cable of the cable hoisting gear is trained or reeved on the cable pulley of the shoveling mechanism so that the shoveling mechanism can be moved by the hoisting gear with movement of the boom.

    Abstract: A safety device for passenger transporter systems for the prevention of the wedging in of foreign bodies, with a switching element, the latter serving to stop the transporter system, the switching element to be actuated from within the stationary part of the intake by means of horizontally moveable comb segments and/or a rotatably arranged carrier plate, the switching element comprises a switch which is operatively actuated via an angle lever, the latter being moved by means of a switch rod. One of the legs of the angle lever is connected with a push rod which can actuate the switch, the push rod being biased by means of a compression spring. The passenger transporter system upon displacement of at least one comb segment and/or upon lifting of the carrier plate as a consequence of pivoting about a pivot point is stopped by actuation of the switch by means of pivoting of the angle lever.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus for controlling the horizontal motion of a double articulated crane comprises determining the angle about a common axis between a base member pivotally mounted on a crane post and a head member carrying a load application point on an outer end thereof. The angle can vary from 0.degree. to 360.degree.. A desired movement direction value is then set on a direction selector movable on a direction indicator. The value corresponds to a target position for the load application point. The desired movement direction value is adjusted by small increments to reach the target however. The desired movement direction value is broken up into two components, one aligned with the axis of the head and the other aligned with a perpendicular axis. The values of these two compartments are calculated as a function of the sin or cos of an angle of misalignment between the longitudinal axis and the direction of the selector.

    Abstract: A hydraulic steering assistor, which can be switched off, for a vehicle with a hydraulic pump, an electric motor and a relay, which vehicle is driven by an electromotor, runs on wheels and is actuated by means of a drive control. By means of a switch disposed in the drive control, the motor of the hydraulic pump for the steering assistor is turned on through a time relay (having an activatable delay time) and another relay, and during the rotation of the armature shaft of the electromotor of the vehicle the time relay receives pulses from a pulse generator in the electromotor preventing the activation (initiation) and thus expiration of the delay time, and the pump driving motor for the steering assistor is stopped only after the absence of the pulses while in the neutral position, causing activation of the time relay and then after expiration of the delay time, by means of the drive control and opened switch.

The surface of the cap defines a radius with a center point at the pivot point of the shovel. A scraper plate with a width corresponding to the width of the stick on the rear wall of the shovel facing the stick is arranged parallel to the upper edge of the bearing bracket and cooperates with the cap so that only a clearance which assures free passage is present between the cap and the scraper plate. A method is also disclosed for stowing the head jib of the crane.
