  • Patent number: 4050248
Abstract: A control device for a hydrostatic drive, especially for a fork lift truck, in which an engine drives a reversible variable delivery pump which supplies fluid to a fluid motor connected to the drive wheels of the lift truck. A reversible actuator is connected to a control element for the pump and is connected through a reversing valve with a further engine driven pump. The rate of movement of the actuator is controlled in the opposite directions of movement thereof. The truck includes a lift cylinder supplied by a still further engine driven pump, and when the lift cylinder is under pressure, the rate of movement of the actuator is controlled at a still slower speed of movement in at least one direction of movement.

  • Patent number: 4035022
Abstract: The device comprises an undercarriage extending transversely of the working direction of the device, and supported, at its opposite ends, by respective pairs of worms with the worms of each pair rotating in respective opposite directions. A cantilever bracket is mounted on the forward side of the undercarriage, considered in the working direction. A plurality of conveyor troughs are mounted, for pivoting about a horizontal axis, on the forward edge of the undercarriage, and respective hydraulic actuators are connected between each trough and the cantilever bracket, so that the troughs, which are inclined rearwardly and upwardly, may be adjusted with respect to their angular orientation. Struts extending rearwardly from the undercarriage connect the undercarriage to a third driving unit which may comprise either a pair of oppositely rotating worms having their axes extending in the working direction or two laterally spaced pairs of worms.

  • Patent number: 4032016
Abstract: A mobile crane in which the front section of a lower carriage is provided with first fluid storage container, and in which an upper carriage has a first end section with an operator's stand and a second end section with second fluid storage container. A pump is provided which is operable by motor which may also form at least a part of the drive for the crane. This pump is adapted to pump fluid from the first fluid storage container to the second fluid storage container to serve as counterweight during hoisting operations of the crane. When the crane is to be moved over roads, the fluid from the second fluid container can selectively be released to the first fluid container for equalizing axle loads.

  • Patent number: 4008676
Abstract: A water craft has a hull with a cavity communicating with a sea opening below water level. A conduit formation in the hull has one end opening on a side of the hull directly adjacent the sea opening and below water level and is connected through the interior of the hull and has an opposite end which opens into the cavity at a spaced location from the sea opening.

  • Patent number: 3995439
Abstract: A device for embedding objects such as continuous pipes into water bottoms comprises a support frame which is movable along the bottom on a drive track which is carried adjacent one side thereof. The support frame also carries a plurality of guide and drive rollers which are engageable with the object to be embedded and which engage the object to move the support frame along the object as the drive track advances along the water bottom. A bottom trenching device in the form of a ground mill with a rotatable cutting head is pivotally mounted on a support between the drive rollers and the drive track and it operates on the bottom to remove material therefrom to form a trench. The material may be subsequently directed backwardly over the object to be embedded after it is positioned in the trench.

  • Patent number: 3993158
Abstract: A device for limiting in a contact-free manner the movement of hydraulically operable mechanical elements, especially for bucket wheel loaders. The device includes a front carriage and a rear carriage. One approaching initiator each is provided on that portion of the front carriage which faces the rear carriage, and the arrangement is such that when turning the steering wheel and when the front carriage angularly approaches the rear carriage, a pertaining thyristor is triggered so that a magnetic valve is energized which through hydraulic control conduits communicates with the tank.

  • Patent number: 3972097
Abstract: A tool forming an attachment to the dipper arm of an excavator, especially for processing scrap automobiles, which includes an extension member that is fixedly connected to the dipper arm and projects beyond the free end portion of the latter. The free end portion of this extension member forms a gripping and shearing structure with a ripping tooth member which preferably forms a two-arm lever pivotally supported by the free outer end of the dipper arm. The longer arm of the two-arm lever cooperates with the extension member while forming a gripping device therewith, whereas the shorter arm of the two-arm lever cooperates with a shearing member supported by the extension member and forms a shear therewith.

  • Patent number: 3964596
Abstract: Conveyor, especially autowalks for persons, with endless inner and outer link chains and pallet carriages arranged between these chains and having opposite ends respectively connected to these chains. Both chains are driven in synchronism either by two coaxial gears or by a reversing gear pertaining to the inner chain and deviating gears pertaining to the outer chain and intermediate gear means between the reversing gear for the inner chain and one of the deviating gears for the outer chain.

  • Patent number: 3946822
Abstract: A tracklaying vehicle comprises first and second laterally spaced tracklaying units which are spaced apart in a travel direction from third and fourth tracklaying units which are spaced laterally from each other. A substructure which is supported on and located in between the tracklaying units includes a carrier shaft extending in the travel direction which provides a journal for rotatably mounting a cross beam which extends between one set of the tracklaying units, for example, the first and second tracklaying units. The other set of tracklaying units, the third and fourth one, are designed as steering units, and they are mounted on individual arms which are pivotally mounted on vertical pivots of the substructure and which are connected to steering devices for pivoting them about the rotatable mountings on each side of the substructure in order to shift the position of the third and fourth tracklaying units.
