Abstract: A beverage carbonator includes a carbonation chamber having a carbonation source inlet, a fluid inlet, a gas outlet, and a carbonation source carrier. The carbonation source carrier is positioned to receive carbonation source deposited into the carbonation chamber through the carbonation source inlet. The carbonation source carrier and fluid inlet arranged to isolate carbonation source carried on the carbonation source carrier from liquid collected in the carbonation chamber through the fluid inlet until a predetermined volume of liquid is admitted into the carbonation chamber.

Abstract: The invention relates to a cover for temporarily shielding objects that may be converted from an open state exposing the object to a closed covering state covering the object and vice versa. The invention further relates to a container including such a cover and to an assembly method for such a cover. In order to provide a cover with better handling and reduced footprint, it is proposed that the cover comprises at least two modular interconnectable or interconnected curved screen segments that are at least pairwise movable about a common pivot axis relative to each other when interconnected, wherein the screen segments, in the open state of the cover, are covering each other and, in the covering state of the cover, overlap each other, abut against each other, or are spaced apart from each other such that they form an domed cover. The result is a cover that is adaptable to various purposes and requirements.

Abstract: The present invention relates to mechanical joining of Nickel Titanium tubes, also known as Nitinol, to other tubular components. Such mechanical joining may be achieved by interpenetration of lobe features between the respective tubes by translating the tubes together on a longitudinal axis, a transverse axis, by a combination of translation and rotational motion or by a hinging motion, or by use of the shape-memory effect. The Nitinol superelasticity is used to accommodate the lobe deformation required for assembly and to snap the lobe back into its original shape to complete the mechanical joint.

A piston is slidingly received within a bore in an end of the wormshaft and has a has a head at an end facing the motor which connects with an output shaft of the motor. An interface between the recess of the piston and the protrusion of motor shaft defines a pivot axis of the worm shaft. The programmable device can be authenticated before programming to verify the device is a valid device produced by a silicon vendor. The authentication process can include a challenge-response validation. The target payload can be programmed into the programmable device and linked with an authorized manufacturer. The programmable device can be verified after programming the target payload by verifying the silicon vendor and the authorized manufacturer. The secure programming system can provision different content into different programmable devices simultaneously to create multiple final device types in a single pass.

The controller is also configured to measure a shorted anode current through the electrical circuit, to determine a modulation duty cycle based on a current setpoint and the measured shorted anode current, and to repeatedly complete and break the electrical circuit using the modulation duty cycle.

Abstract: A roof vent member with an integrated fan assembly is disclosed. The fan assembly may be installed, removed, replaced, maintained, etc. from underneath the roof without having to get on the roof or otherwise disrupt the roof envelope. The roof vent may include a subflashing, the fan assembly, sealing elements, screens, and other features. A secondary roof vent member may be included which may include solar panels. Associated methods of using the vent members, such as installing, removing, and replacing the vent member or various components thereof, are further disclosed.
