Abstract: The adapter shaping an electromagnetic field heats toroidal plasma discharge. It is intended for use in plasma torches dedicated for excitation/ionization sources in spectrometers. The adapter includes at least two electromagnetic field shaping elements, which are stretched between the bushing of the upper microwave connection and the bushing of the lower microwave connection. An element shaping electromagnetic field is positioned to the surface pitch of the bushings at an angle ranging from 0 to 90 degrees.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an insufflator having an insufflation tube comprising an integrated heating element and humidifying material for laparoscopy, wherein measurement of the moisture content is possible. No separate humidity sensor is required to measure the moisture content of the humidifying material. Components that are already part of the insufflation tube can be used, in particular, the lead wires of heating elements or temperature sensors.
Abstract: A power distribution unit includes a housing, a cover, and a gasket assembly. The housing, which holds one or more fuses, relays, cables, and busbars, includes a channel located along a perimeter of the housing. The cover is to be placed over the housing. The gasket assembly includes a gasket, multiple gasket ribs, and a gasket connector. The gasket is placed in the channel so that the gasket is sandwiched between the housing and the cover when the cover is placed over the housing. The gasket ribs are located around and attached to the gasket and are placed into gasket rib receivers in the housing. The gasket connector prevents the cover from being secured over the housing without the gasket.

Abstract: Provided herein is a system for supporting an appendage of a patient, such as a foot or leg, in a desirable position to allow for a comprehensive scan of the appendage. The system includes a leg support assembly arranged to support the leg of a patient when using the system. The leg support assembly comprises a ground engagement assembly, a telescoping tube assembly, and a leg engagement member. The telescoping tube assembly is secured on a first end to the ground engagement assembly and the secured on a second and opposite end of the telescoping tube assembly. The ground engagement assembly is arranged to engage with a support surface to form a stable base for the leg support assembly. The telescoping tube assembly is arranged to adjust the height of the leg support assembly. The leg engagement member includes contours that accommodate the underside of a patient's knee.
Abstract: A method for fulfillment of an order includes receiving, at a master server, a specification of the order including a set of items. The master server selects a runner apparatus and transmits a first command to that apparatus to retrieve a first box for presentation to a picker apparatus, where the first box has an item for fulfillment of the order. The runner apparatus retrieves the first box and presents it to the picker apparatus by moving near the picker apparatus, where the picker apparatus includes a base portion that is immovable, and holding the box for access by the picker apparatus. The master server instructs the picker apparatus to sort that item from the first box to a destination box. The picker apparatus picks the item out of the box via a robot arm of the picker apparatus, and moves it to the destination box.

Abstract: Autonomous cars or vehicles need to detect pedestrians or passengers crossing the road ahead of them or being about to cross it and warn them in order to avoid a collision. In a dense traffic situation, it might be well possible, that there is too much acoustic or visual impact on the pedestrian, such that acoustic or visual warning signals might not be recognized by the pedestrian in a timely manner because the pedestrian might be overwhelmed by acoustic or visual noise in the street. In order to strongly improve the pedestrian's safety, a vehicle is provided with a warning device for warning a pedestrian using a warning signal which creates a remote haptic sensation in the pedestrian. The pedestrian then will feel “touched” and his attention is fully drawn to the upcoming danger of the approaching vehicle even in noisy or visually distracting surroundings.
Abstract: A propeller locking mechanism for an aircraft includes a mounting ring having a locking extension with an aperture. A solenoid is configured with a solenoid pin which interacts with a first arm of a lever. The lever includes a pivotable second arm configured with a spring and locking pin. The second arm is able to pivot and insert the locking pin into the aperture of the locking extension on the mounting ring. The spring biases the locking pin in the locked orientation. Upon sufficient motor torque, the spring force is overcome allowing the locking pin to be removed from the aperture and the mounting ring to be unlocked.
Abstract: Systems and methods receive a form having one or more fields for receiving personally identifying information (PII). Input data that includes PII is received for the form. The system and methods model the characteristics of true PII to generate a model associated with the form. Synthetic PII is generated based, at least in part, the true PII and the model. The synthetic PII is provided to the one or more fields of the form.
