Abstract: Disclosed are a system, method and apparatus for controllably grinding coffee beans for use in an espresso machine. The disclosure includes a system, method and apparatus for controllably adjusting the grinder to maintain a desired tolerance for the espresso produced by the espresso machine. The system, method and apparatus include monitoring of at least one of several espresso related parameters to monitor whether the espresso is being brewed within a desired tolerance or set of tolerances. The system, method and apparatus provide feedback to an automatically adjustable grinder to at least one of increase or decrease the grinding time so as to produce more or less ground coffee.
Abstract: A method of making products with a functional relief surface (2) with high resolution up to 10 nm, which is copied from a template (1) or carrier of the negative relief of the surface, the so-called master. The template (1) of the relief surface (2) is provided with at least one layer of geopolymer composite, applied in a precursor state (3), in form of a liquid dispersion or grout in plastic or thixotropic condition, whose thickness is the same or greater than the depth of the template relief (1), at temperatures in the interval from the temperature corresponding to properties of the precursor (3) to the temperature corresponding to thermal decomposition of the precursor (3), and after hardening of geopolymer composite the layer or layers is/are separated from the template (1).
Abstract: A jig for manufacturing a capacitor element is provided in which the productive efficiency is excellent due to a larger number of anode bodies that can be processed, and an immersion position (height) of the anode body with respect to the processing liquid can be controlled with high accuracy. A jig 10 according to the invention includes a substrate 11, a plurality of beam members 8 arranged on at least one surface of the substrate in parallel to each other, and a plurality of conductive sockets 1 mounted on the beam member 8. The plurality of sockets 1 are capable of electrically connecting to a power source supplying an electric current to a capacitor anode body. The socket 1 is provided with an insertion port 37 for electrically connecting a lead wire of a capacitor anode body, and the insertion port 37 is opened in a downward direction of the substrate 11.
Abstract: A transmission protection system for a motor vehicle that has a low range of ratios (gears 1, 2, 3 and 4) and a high range of ratios (gears 5, 6, 7 and 8). A selection of gear is made using a gear selection shaft connected with a gear change lever having a preselective switch. An electro-pneumatic valve is directly connected to and acts axially on the gear selection shaft to counteract accidental positioning of the gear selection shaft in a position of the gears 1-2 or in a position of the gears 5-6. An electronic transmission control unit is configured to control the electro-pneumatic valve by an electric signal depending on a difference between a vehicle speed Sv and a first assumed speed S1 for the low range of ratios or between the vehicle speed Sv and a second assumed speed S2 for the high range of ratios.

Abstract: A dispensing closure includes a closure body with dispensing-metering chambers. The dispensing closure body includes a bottom part having at least two chambers passing into an upper guiding part of the body. The at least two chambers have the form of guides, the cross- section of which coincides with the cross-sections of the chambers at a transition point. A piston is situated in each of the chambers. The upper part of each piston has a lock preventing unintentional twisting-off of the plastic cover. The bottom side each piston includes a plastic cutter for perforation of a covering foil. The body containing the pistons is sheltered from above with a rotationally fitted plastic cover featuring a separable lock preventing any intervention. The chambers are closed from the bottom of the body with a covering foil. The chambers of the dispensing closure have the shape of equal-armed triangles, the longest side of which has the shape of a sector of a circle.

Abstract: A method for determining bit boundary of a navigation bit of a satellite signal received by a receiver is disclosed. The method includes dividing an assumed navigation bit equally into a plurality of power units, calculating unit powers of each of the plurality of power units, and determining a plurality of phases. Each of the plurality of phases is associated with an estimated bit boundary. The method further includes adding unit powers of the plurality of power units to obtain a plurality of bit powers. Each of the plurality of bit powers corresponds to the estimated bit boundary associated with one of the plurality of phases. The bit boundary of the navigation bit is determined based on the plurality of bit powers.
Abstract: A platen roller assembly for a printer includes a platen roller, a retaining clip, a plurality of bearings, and a pulley assembly. The platen roller defines a longitudinal axis. The retaining clip mounts to a support body of the printer and is positioned to retain the platen roller relative to the support body. The plurality of bearings is operably coupled to the platen roller. Each of the bearings permits rotational movement of the platen roller about the longitudinal axis thereof. The pulley assembly is mounted to the support body and is operably associated with one or more of the bearings. The pulley assembly includes a pulley and a belt. The belt is operably coupled to the pulley such that the platen roller rotates in response to rotational movement of the belt. The platen roller may be selectively coupled and uncoupled to/from the support body independent of the pulley assembly.

Abstract: A transparent conductive film module is provided which includes a first transparent conductive film and a second transparent conductive film, which are transparent conductive films with metal embedded grids and have grid-like grooves evenly filled with conductive material. Abstract: A method for acquiring a nuclide activity with high nuclide identification ability applicable to a spectroscopy measured from sodium iodide detector is described. In performing this, an electronic impulse signal received by the sodium iodide detector is transformed into a spectroscopy. Then, the resulting spectroscopy is analyzed in characteristics with some previous calculations. The analysis result provides an assistance in establishing a system capable of identifying a nuclide and calculating the activity of the nuclide, which not only features an excellent nuclide identification ability but also presents a fantabulous reconstruction result. Thereby the present invention may be used for establishing a system capable of qualitative nuclide identification and activity determination that can be adapted in applications of waste clearance management.

Abstract: A retaining device for fastening a piece of equipment with a display inside a motor vehicle has a holding apparatus with a bearing surface and a holding space for holding the piece of equipment. The holding space extends in a first direction (R1) up to a first maximum extent, and extends in a second direction (R2) perpendicular to the first direction (R1). For pieces of equipment that are smaller, the amount by which the holding space extends in the first direction (R1) can be adjusted to the length of the piece of equipment and the amount by which the holding space extends in the second direction (R2) can be adjusted to its width. Abstract: A composite type multi-mode electronic seal includes the bolt, the bolt male pedestal and the communication control part, and the advantage of the composite type multi-mode electronic seal containing the passive electronic seal containing the bolt and the bolt male pedestal and the active electronic seal containing bolt, the bolt male pedestal and the communication control part. Thereby, the present invention has the advantages and preferred result of the active and passive electronic seal, and can help the container cars, bonded cars, trucks and the like to perform the goods transmission, and it still perform the data read and data report according to the different RFID identification equipments built by every country's custom so to achieve the purpose of effectively recording the broken elements, instantly reporting and preventing smuggling.
