Abstract: [Object] To reduce the influence on a visible light LED exerted by ultraviolet light applied by an ultraviolet light LED. [Solution] A linear light source including an ultraviolet light emitting diode (1a), a visible light emitting diode (3a), and a light guide (5). The ultraviolet light emitting diode (1a) and the visible light emitting diode (3a) are disposed at least at one end in an optical axis direction of the light guide (5), and are disposed with an optical axis shifted and by providing a level difference in the optical axis direction. Here, the ultraviolet light emitting diode (1a) and the visible light emitting diode (3a) are mounted on an inverted L-shaped heat sink (6a), and an ultraviolet light blocking filter (2) is disposed in front of the visible light emitting diode (3a).

Abstract: A self-delayed homodyne interferometer includes light source unit, a splitting unit, an interference signal acquisition unit, a scattered light intensity acquisition unit, and a signal processing unit. The light source unit generates probe light. The splitting unit splits into two branches, Brillouin backscattered light occurring in an optical fiber to be measured with the probe light. The acquisition unit receives scattered light of one branch, and uses a self-delayed homodyne interferometer to generate an interference signal. The acquisition unit receives scattered light of the other branch, and acquires intensity of the scattered light. The signal processing unit separates and acquires a frequency shift amount from the intensity of the interference signal, and strain and temperature change from the intensity of the scattered light. The acquisition unit can change a phase of the scattered light of the one of the two branches.
Abstract: The light source unit generates probe light. The splitting unit splits Brillouin backscattered light, which arise in the optical fiber under test owing to the probe light, into two branches of a first light path and a second light path. The delay unit gives a delay between light propagating through the first light path and the second light path. The multiplexer unit multiplexes light propagating through the first light path and the second light path to generate multiplexed light. The coherent detection unit performs heterodyne detection on the multiplexed light to output a difference frequency as a first electrical signal. The frequency shift amount obtaining unit performs homodyne detection on one of the two branches split from the first electrical signal and the second electrical signal having the same frequency as the frequency of the first electrical signal to obtain a frequency shift amount.
Abstract: Provided is a wavelength filter including: an optical waveguide core that includes n (n is an integer greater than or equal to 2) number of mode conversion parts and n?1 number of cavity parts that are alternately connected to each other in series; and cladding that surrounds the optical waveguide core. The mode conversion parts convert light having a specific wavelength of a p-order mode (p is an integer satisfying p?0) into light of a q-order mode (q is an integer satisfying q>p) and reflect the light. The cavity parts match phases of the light having the specific wavelength of the p-order mode propagating through the cavity part.

Abstract: In a network registration system including a communicator to be registered on a network and a register registering the communicator on the network, either of the communicator and the register includes a check information generator generating a check information signal according to check information for prompting the user to check that the communicator is treated as an object to be registered in the network registration system; and a check information output section outputting the check information signal in a form sensible to the user. The other of the communicator and the register includes an evaluation criterion supplier supplying evaluation criterion information allowing the user to evaluate the suitability of the check information emitted from the check information output section. Thus, the network registration system can prevent an incorrect registration while easily registering the communicator to the network.
Abstract: To provide a banknote processing apparatus for reducing occurrence of part damage involved by movement of a unit. Provided is a banknote processing apparatus including: a first unit (10); a second unit (30); and a pair of transfer guides (20) configured to form a transfer conveyance path on which a banknote is conveyed between the first unit (10) and the second unit (30). The transfer conveyance path is formed between the pair of transfer guides (20). The transfer guide (20) has a first edge (26) at an opposite side to the transfer conveyance path and at the first unit (10) side, the first edge (26) coming closer to the transfer conveyance path as the first edge (26) nears an end at the first unit (10) side.
Abstract: It takes a processing time to perform a security process on a time synchronization message, thus the difference of a delay time required for the security process can be made between a time at which the time synchronization message is actually transmitted and a transmission time assigned to the time synchronization message, and therefore, the difference between the actual transmission time of the time synchronization message and the assigned transmission time needs to be reduced. In generation of a secure time synchronization message in the synchronization system according to embodiments of the present invention, most of the security processes is performed in an upper layer which is an MAC layer or a higher layer, and processes including the assignment of the transmission time and assignment of authentication information for authenticating validity of the transmission time are performed in a physical layer.

Abstract: A medium storage box includes an internal storage space configured to store a paper sheet-shaped medium. The medium storage box includes: a first opening into which an insertion member is inserted from outside; a second opening through which the medium passes; a first shutter member that closes off the first opening; a second shutter member that closes off the second opening; and a biasing mechanism that biases either the first shutter member, or the second shutter member, or both, in a closing direction. Abstract: The present invention relates to a video distribution system including a video encoding device which generates video data encoded per a unit of frame and a video decoding device which decodes the video data supplied from the video encoding device. The video encoding device includes a predicted image generator which generates a predicted image of a non-key frame, by using a key frame, an updated original image generator which compares each parameter representing a predicted image of the non-key frame with respective parameter values for each parameter representing an original image of the non-key frame, and according to this comparison result, generates an updated original image by selecting parameter values of either the predicted image or the original image for each parameter, and an error correction code generator which generates an error correction code for correcting an error of the updated original image to the non-key frame.

Abstract: In a storage box guidance section provided to an upper portion of a banknote storage box in a banknote pay-in/pay-out device of an ATM, a groove is provided running along a front-rear direction at the right side of a storage box conveyance guide group. Further, in a handover section provided to a casing in the banknote pay-in/pay-out device, a position establishing section is provided to the right side of a handover section conveyance guide group. The left-right direction position of the storage box guidance section may accordingly be established with respect to the handover section by positioning the position establishing section inside the groove when storing a lower frame loaded with the banknote storage box and the like in the casing of the banknote pay-in/pay-out device. This enables finger sections of the storage box conveyance guide group and finger sections of the handover section conveyance guide group to be interlocked with each other without abutting.
