Publication number: 20240203628Abstract: Described herein are concepts, system and techniques which provide a means to construct robust high-field superconducting magnets using simple fabrication techniques and modular components that scale well toward commercialization. The resulting magnet assembly—which utilizes non-insulated, high temperature superconducting tapes (HTS) and provides for optimized coolant pathways—is inherently strong structurally, which enables maximum utilization of the high magnetic fields available with HTS technology. In addition, the concepts described herein provide for control of quench-induced current distributions within the tape stack and surrounding superstructure to safely dissipate quench energy, while at the same time obtaining acceptable magnet charge time. The net result is a structurally and thermally robust, high-field magnet assembly that is passively protected against quench fault conditions.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 28, 2023Publication date: June 20, 2024Applicants: Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Commonwealth Fusion System LLCInventors: Brian LABOMBARD, Robert S. Publication number: 20240202744Abstract: Methods and systems are described herein for verifying authenticity of items using blockchain operations. In particular, an authentication system may be used to perform validation operations. The authentication system may monitor a blockchain (e.g., via a blockchain node) for any blockchain operations to an address of a cryptography-based storage application controlled by the authentication system (e.g., an authentication system maintained by the manufacturer of the item). When the authentication system detects such operation, the authentication system may retrieve an identifier of an item (e.g., a serial number) from the blockchain operation and determine, based on the identifier, whether the item is authentic. The authentication system may then use the source address of the cryptography-based storage application that requested verification and generate another blockchain operation to respond and verify authenticity.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 14, 2022Publication date: June 20, 2024Applicant: Capital One Services, LLCInventors: Samuel RAPOWITZ, Chandra Sekhar Babu NAGAM VENKATA, Fernando A. Publication number: 20240204239Abstract: The present document describes a low-emission cylindrical-winding battery design. The battery design is a rolled and stacked battery, with two or more winding rolls of cathode and anode layers separated by insulation layers, the winding rolls also being separated by a distance with the distance, in some embodiments, filled with a dielectric material. A first winding roll of first stacked anode and cathode layers and a second winding roll of second stacked anode and cathode layers are wound in a direction around a central axis of the battery. The first winding roll of first stacked anode and cathode layers follows a first stacking order with the anode and cathode layers alternating. The second winding roll of second stacked anode and cathode layers follows a second stacking order with the anode and cathode layers alternating opposite to the first stacking order. The alternating stacking orders cause the battery to produce a reduced H-field when compared with a battery having non-alternating stacking orders.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 1, 2024Publication date: June 20, 2024Applicant: Google LLCInventors: Jianmin Zhang, Mingfeng Xue, Chi Kin Benjamin Leung, Ramesh C. Publication number: 20240202032Abstract: Systems and methods for generating real-time resource reduction notifications are described. The system receives, for a user system, a resource consumption and a dataset during a first period of time. The system processes the dataset to determine other user systems similar to the user system. The system generates an expected resource consumption of the user system during the first period of time based on resource consumption during one or more periods of time for the similar user systems. If the resource consumption of the user system exceeds the expected resource consumption, the system determines an action to reduce resource consumption of the user system. The system receives a reduced resource consumption of the user system during a second period of time. The system generates a notification to the similar user systems indicating the executed action and an amount of reduction in resource consumption.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 19, 2022Publication date: June 20, 2024Applicant: Capital One Services, LLCInventors: Kimberly STOCKLEY, Michael MOSSOBA, David SEPTIMUS, Imren JOHAR, Shabnam KOUSHA

Publication number: 20240202150Abstract: Provided herein are systems and methods for performing dynamic adaption and correction for internal delays in devices connected to a common time-multiplexed bus. The methods allow devices to operate reliably at a higher bus frequency by correcting for inherent and unknown delays within the components and in the system by measuring the actual delays using multiple readings with the bus. Intrinsic noise and jitter are used to increase the precision of the measurements, thereby essentially using these uncertainties as self-dithering for increased measurement resolution. During adaption, delays may be adjusted in multiple step sizes to speed adaption time.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 29, 2024Publication date: June 20, 2024Applicant: Google LLCInventor: Jens Kristian Poulsen
