Abstract: A lift nacelle may comprise an airflow generator; a sidewall system coupled to the airflow generator and spanning in a first direction, wherein the sidewall system defines a nacelle interior space, wherein the airflow generator defines one of a forward boundary or an aft boundary of the nacelle interior space; and a lift body disposed in the nacelle interior space and spanning substantially perpendicular to the first direction and substantially perpendicular to an upward lift direction. The airflow generator may be configured to accelerate airflow in an aft direction into the nacelle interior space through the forward boundary of the nacelle interior space. The airflow may contact and/or interact with the lift body creating lift in response.
Abstract: A system includes a computer including a processor and a memory. The computer is programmed to determine a target location for a vehicle; based on a vehicle speed and a distance to the target location, determine a tunable acceleration parameter; determine a constraint, based on the tunable acceleration parameter, for a control barrier function to that outputs an acceleration to stop the vehicle at the target location; and upon solving the control barrier function to satisfy the constraint, actuate the vehicle to decelerate based on the acceleration output from the control barrier function.

Abstract: A vibroacoustic therapy device uses a vibrational sound source to resonate with a body like a musical instrument that includes a person. The device is tuned to determine a fundamental resonant frequency with the body in connection with it. Then, applying vibroacoustic energy at different frequencies, the apparatus creates sensations of vibrational patterns within the body, comprised of areas of high vibration and relative stillness. The apparatus allows a person to physically feel modal vibrations within their own body. The vibroacoustic sensations are pleasant and may ease pain, enhance calm, and increase relaxation.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides for a security door system for a retail store setting. The security door system, in general, provides for a locked case that is easier to install, lighter weight, and more robust than current security door products and is further made, in part, of an unbreakable clear polycarbonate. The present security door system thereby limits or prevents a thief from being able to steal a retail product protected by the security door system.
Abstract: Methods and systems are described for verifying an identity of a user through contextual knowledge-based authentication. The system described uses contextual knowledge-based authentication. By verifying an identity of a user through contextual knowledge-based authentication, the verification is both more secure and more intuitive to the user. For example, by relying on confidential and/or proprietary information, the system may generate verification questions, the answers to which are known only by the user.

Abstract: A method comprising: generating signals SA1 and SB1 by using a first sensor that is positioned at a first position relative to a rotating target, the signals SA1 and SB1 being generated in response to a magnetic field that is associated with the rotating target; generating signals SA2 and SB2 by using a second sensor that is positioned at a second position relative to the rotating target; and calculating a position of the rotating target based on a ratio of a first difference between the signals SA1 and SA2 and a second difference between the signals SB1 and SB2.

Abstract: A system and a method for controlling an agricultural vehicle includes receiving sensor information for the agricultural vehicle from one or more sensors, determining a change in a state of the agricultural vehicle based on the sensor information, determining a change in a physical parameter of the agricultural vehicle based on the change in the state of the agricultural vehicle, updating an auto-guidance controller for the agricultural vehicle based on the change in the physical parameter of the agricultural vehicle, and controlling an operation of the agricultural vehicle based on the updated auto-guidance controller.
Abstract: Methods and structures for forming strained-channel finFETs are described. Fin structures for finFETs may be formed using two epitaxial layers of different lattice constants that are grown over a bulk substrate. A first thin, strained, epitaxial layer may be cut to form strain-relieved base structures for fins. The base structures may be constrained in a strained-relieved state. Fin structures may be epitaxially grown in a second layer over the base structures. The constrained base structures can cause higher amounts of strain to form in the epitaxially-grown fins than would occur for non-constrained base structures.
Abstract: A package sort cell includes a robot with an end of arm tool for transporting packages from an in-feed conveyor to a selected one of a plurality of out-feed conveyors or bins, the robot receiving instruction from the package reader as to which of the plurality of conveyors or bins to hand-off the package. An end of arm tool may be in the configuration of a conveyor which may be aligned with the out-feed conveyor on a bottom up movement. The end of arm tool may also be in the configuration of a hanging carriage frame suspending a conveyor in a top down movement. A worker platform may be provided which may be movable between in-use and out-of-use positions whereby upon robot downtime, the platform may move into the in-use position for a worker to temporarily takeover the transfer functions of the robot. A plurality of sort cells may be arranged in side by side relation adjacent a like plurality of package delivery points (e.g.

Abstract: This document describes techniques, methods, and apparatuses for logical memory repair. In some aspects, a memory built-in self-test (MBIST) controller can perform logical memory repair for a memory cluster including a shared bus interface that is coupled to the MBIST controller and configured to provide access to multiple logical memories. The memory cluster includes multiple physical memories that are coupled to the shared bus interface. At least one physical memory is configured to have two or more logical memories overlaid thereon. In example aspects, the physical memory includes arbitration logic coupled to a first address register and a second address register that are respectively configured to store a first faulty memory address and a second faulty memory address. The arbitration logic includes circuitry configured to arbitrate access to at least one spare memory portion responsive to the first faulty memory address conflicting with the second faulty memory address.
Abstract: A therapeutic article of manufacture suitable for adhesive application to the skin of a user includes an elongate support layer formed of a single layer of woven fabric. The woven fabric has a ratio of elongation in percent to tensile strength (lb/in-width) that is less than 0.9 in only one of two test directions, where elongation, tensile strength, and test directions are determined under test conditions specified in ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) D3759. The article of manufacture additionally includes an adhesive intermittent across the support layer and a removable cover layer releasably retained on the adhesive.
