Abstract: A system for an electrified vehicle includes a rechargeable energy storage device (RESS) electrically couplable via an electric power bus to a high-voltage actuator, a telematics system, and an on-vehicle controller. The on-vehicle controller includes an instruction set that is executable to: receive, via the telematics system, a notification of a proximal impending catastrophic event; determine an intent to safeguard the electrified vehicle; execute a high-voltage discharge protocol in response to the intent to safeguard the electrified vehicle, wherein the high-voltage discharge protocol includes operating the high-voltage actuator; monitor a state of charge (SOC) of the RESS; and electrically decouple the RESS from the electric power bus when the SOC of the RESS is less than a first threshold SOC.
Abstract: Delivery device assemblies useful in the delivery of implantable medical devices, such as endografts, into a vascular system are described. A delivery device has a handle having a handle body, at least one actuator mounted to the handle body for rotation about the handle body, the actuator having a follower-driver. For each actuator, at least one follower is disposed around the handle body and is configured to rotate about the handle body. A hard stop on the handle body arrests rotation of a distal most follower for each actuator. Delivery systems, methods of making a delivery device, methods of making a delivery system, and methods of delivering an implantable medical device to a point of treatment in a body lumen are also described.

Abstract: Novel tools and techniques are provided for implementing intelligent queuing with feedback-driven admission controls. In various embodiments, a computing system may send, to a downstream system, first data among a plurality of data that is stored in a queue; may determine whether or not the first data has been successfully transmitted to and received by the downstream system; based on a determination that the first data has not been successfully received by the downstream system and when the first queue is in a first state, may analyze a number of successful transmission attempts and a number of unsuccessful transmission attempts within a first predetermined window, to determine whether a first trigger event has occurred; and if so, may change a state of the queue from the first state to a second state, the first and second states of the queue defining how data is enqueued by the queue.

Abstract: A lighting control system for controlling a cumulative light emitted by a lighting fixture may comprise a light-emitting diode (LED) driver comprising an output for conducting an output current, and a control module electrically coupled to the output of the LED driver for receiving the output current. The LED driver may regulate the magnitude of the output current towards a target current, and may be characterized by a low-end intensity. The control module may be coupled to a first LED light source of the LED light sources. The control module may receive a command including a requested intensity and control the magnitude of a first LED current through the first LED light source. The control module may control the cumulative light output of the lighting fixture below the low-end intensity of the LED driver by diverting a portion of the output current away from the first LED light source.

Abstract: Systems and methods for sharing content between devices are disclosed. To request a shared piece of media content, a playback device generates and sends a request to content server. The playback device includes information in the request that indicates the playback capabilities of the device. The content server receives the request and determines the playback capabilities of the playback device from the information in the request. The content server then determines the assets that may be used by the playback device to obtain the media content and generates a top level index file for the playback device that includes information about the determined assets. The top level index file is then sent to the playback device that may then use the top level index file to obtain the media content using the indicated assets.
