Abstract: A system for treating infected tissue includes an applicator device. The applicator device has an electrode pair spaced apart and is positioned against infected tissue. An electrical power supply to generate a pulsed electric field across the electrode pair, resulting in the application of a pulsed electric field through the infected tissue. The pulsed electric field has a field strength within a range that when the pulsed electric field is applied, pores are formed in membranes of cells of the infected tissue. A method for treating infected tissue is disclosed. The method includes positioning an electrode pair against the infected tissue; applying a pulsed electric field across the electrode pair. The pulsed electric field has a field strength that when applied, pores are formed in membranes of cells of the infected tissue; and applying an antimicrobial agent into or onto the infected tissue when the pulsed electric field is applied.

Abstract: Particular embodiments provide a system to determine ad segments in a video asset to enable subsequent ad replacement in video programs. The system is included in a multiple service operator (MSO) system that broadcasts video programs via a broadcast schedule. The MSO may not know the location of the ad segments in the video asset. To determine the ad segments, the MSO uses a classifier to classify video program segments and advertisements in the video asset. The classifier may be integrated with an nDVR system. By integrating with the nDVR system, particular embodiments may determine user behavior information, such as trick play commands, from the nDVR system. The classifier may use the user behavior information to detect ad segments in the video asset. In one embodiment, the classifier may fuse outputs from different detectors to detect and validate ad segments in the video program.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and media for storing entries in and/or retrieving information from an embedding object memory are provided. In some examples, a content item is received that has content data. The content data associated with the content item may be provided to one or more semantic embedding models that generate semantic embeddings. From one or more of the semantic embedding models, one or semantic embeddings may be received. The one or more semantic embeddings may then be inserted into the embedding object memory. The semantic embeddings may be associated with respective indications corresponding to a reference to source data associated with the semantic embeddings. Further, the insertion may trigger a spatial storage operation to store a vector representation of the one or more semantic embeddings. A plurality of collections of stored embeddings may be received from the embedding object memory, based on a provided input, to determine an action.

Abstract: Exemplary embodiments may use word embeddings to enhance scanning of programming code scripts for sensitive subject matter, such as confidential subject matter. The scanning may be performed by a neural network in some exemplary embodiments. The neural network initially may be trained on a corpus of programming code scripts to identify keywords relating to sensitive subject matter, such as passwords, tokens or credentials. The neural network may not only identify instances of the keywords but also may identify related terms as well. The output of the scan may be a ranked list of terms in the programming code script that may relate to sensitive subject matter.

Abstract: Techniques and apparatuses are described that implement hand-grip location detection using ultrasound. In particular, an ultrasonic sensor determines a location that a user's hand grips a user device. While gripping the user device, the hand creates an additional aperture area, which amplifies ultrasonic signals that are received by one or more transducers of the ultrasonic sensor that are proximate to the user's hand. By analyzing the amplitude (or power) of received ultrasonic signals, the ultrasonic sensor can detect if the user's hand is proximate to a particular transducer. In some implementations, the ultrasonic sensor utilizes speakers and/or microphones that are present within the user device. In this way, the ultrasonic sensor can have a relatively small footprint and fit within space-constrained devices.
