Abstract: The disclosure provides an atomic object trap apparatus and a method of operating such. The atomic object trap apparatus comprises two or more radio frequency (RF) electrodes formed concentrically in a substantially elliptical shape; and three or more trapping and/or transport (TT) electrode sequences formed concentrically in a substantially elliptical shape. The two or more RF electrodes and the three or more TT electrode sequences define a substantially elliptically-shaped atomic object trap. At least one TT electrode sequence of the three or more TT electrode sequences is disposed concentrically between the two or more RF electrodes. Each RF electrode and TT electrode sequence is elliptically shaped such that each comprises two substantially parallel longitudinal regions and two arc-spanning beltway regions, the four regions forming a substantially elliptical shape. • Patent number: 12014446
Abstract: A computing system for generating predicted images along a trajectory of unseen viewpoints. The system can obtain one or more spatial observations of an environment that may be captured from one or more previous camera poses. The system can generate a three-dimensional point cloud for the environment from the one or more spatial observations and the one or more previous camera poses. The system can project the three-dimensional point cloud into two-dimensional space to form one or more guidance spatial observations. The system can process the one or more guidance spatial observations with a machine-learned spatial observation prediction model to generate one or more predicted spatial observations. The system can process the one or more predicted spatial observations and image data with a machine-learned image prediction model to generate one or more predicted images from the target camera pose. The system can output the one or more predicted images.

  • Patent number: 12012930
Abstract: A method for preventing a pitch bearing failure of a pitch system of a wind turbine includes monitoring, via at least one sensor, one or more electrical signals of a pitch motor of a pitch drive mechanism of the pitch system that drives a pitch bearing of the pitch system. The method also includes analyzing, via the controller, the one or more electrical signals of the pitch motor so as to remove noise and amplify outliers. Moreover, the method includes estimating bearing friction of the pitch bearing using the analyzed one or more electrical signals of the pitch motor. As such, the method includes implementing, via the controller, a control action when the estimated bearing friction of the pitch bearing indicates an anomaly in the pitch bearing.

  • Patent number: 12013913
Abstract: A link-analyzing system (LAS) extracts information from a markup language (ML) document associated with a web page link. In some implementations, the information that is extracted includes at least: a) address content that is part of the link's destination address; and b) text that is associated with the link but that is not part of the destination address itself. The LAS generates feature information based on the address content and the text, and then uses a classification model to make a classification assessment for the link based on the feature information. In some implementations, the LAS can control a crawling engine based on the classification assessment. In some implementations, the LAS can revise a low-confidence classification assessment based on an examination of the classification assessments of a group of similar links described by the ML document. Other implementations use the above-described functionality to classify other parts of an ML document.

  • Patent number: 12014369
Abstract: A system and method provide efficient, secure, and highly reliable authentication for transaction processing and/or access control applications. A personal digital key (PDK) is programmed using a trusted programming device to initialize and/or register the PDK for use. In one embodiment, the initialization and registration processes are administered by a specialized trusted Notary to ensure the processes follow defined security procedures. In a biometric initialization, the programming device acquires a biometric input from a user and writes the biometric data to a tamperproof memory in the PDK. In registration, the Programmer communicates to one or more remote registries to create or update entries associated with the user PDK. Once initialized and registered, the PDK can be used for various levels of secure authentication processes.

  • Patent number: 12015961
Abstract: A mobile device for enhanced mobile device wireless network connectivity is provided that includes a user interface, a hardware processor, and a non-transitory memory configured to store one or more programs. The hardware processor executes the one or more programs to store a map of wireless networks, calculate a route of travel for the mobile device, and determine a list of wireless networks connectable to the mobile device. A schedule is created for connecting the mobile device to the wireless networks on the list and connecting the mobile device to a first one of the wireless networks on the schedule along the route. The mobile device switches sequentially from the first one of the wireless networks to a next one of the wireless networks in the schedule so the mobile device is connected to at least one of the wireless networks on the schedule while moving along the route.

  • Patent number: 12014380
Abstract: Examples provide customized authorization of item self-returns. A customized returns manager component calculates a customized return-trust score and a per-item return value based on analysis of item data and transaction history data. If a per-user return-trust score is within an unacceptable threshold range or an item value is within an unacceptable threshold value range, a second user is assigned to assist a first user with completion of the proposed return of the selected item. If the per-user return-trust score and the item value is within an acceptable threshold range, a return authorization component authorizes unassisted self-return of the selected item. An item disposition component determines in real-time whether to permit the first user to keep the selected item or instruct the first user to return the selected item to a designated item return area prior to completion of the item return based on a set of item disposition criteria.

  • Patent number: 12013099
Abstract: A light-emitting diode (LED) can have a light-emitting surface that can emit emitted light. A filter, disposed on the light-emitting surface, can be at least partially transmissive in a first area and at least partially reflective in a second area. The first area can direct at least some of the emitted light through the filter to form shaped light that extends over an area corresponding to a shape of a static light pattern. The second area can reflect at least some of the emitted light into the LED through the light-emitting surface. A lens can bring the shaped light to a focus that has the shape of the static light pattern. To increase a contrast of the focus, an absorber, disposed on the second area of the filter, can absorb emitted light that is transmitted through the second area of the filter.
