Abstract: A system and method for releasing a parking brake of a vehicle after assessing driver alertness is provided. In one embodiment, a controller in the vehicle determines whether the driver is alert (e.g., by providing a field sobriety test using component(s) in the vehicle) and allows the vehicle to unpark only if it determines that the driver is alert. The controller can also determine if the driver is an authorized driver and use that as an additional condition to release the parking brake.

Abstract: The invention comprises a method of mineralization of carbon dioxide. The method comprises delivering hyaloclastite, a volcanic glass or pumice to a mill capable of reducing the particle size of the hyaloclastite, a volcanic glass or pumice; processing the hyaloclastite, a volcanic glass or pumice in the mill so that the processed hyaloclastite, a volcanic glass or pumice has a volume-based mean particle size of less than or equal to 40 ?m; and exposing the hyaloclastite, a volcanic glass or pumice to carbon dioxide in gaseous, liquid or solid form during or after the particle reduction process. Optionally a carbon dioxide sorbent or carbonation enhancing agent is added to the hyaloclastite pozzolan or mineral during the grinding or post-grinding process and combined with carbon dioxide during grinding or post grinding.

The restrictor is coupled to the tubular body and defines at least one aperture extending through the restrictor such that the restrictor is configured to restrict flow from the central bore through the distal end of the tubular body to a flow area of less than 0.126 mm2. The sleeve is disposed rotatably about the distal end of the tubular body and defines a male threadform. The sleeve includes a mating shoulder that extends radially inward of the shoulder.

Abstract: Systems and methods provided herein relate to a pump system. The pump system includes a pump disposed within a well, an actuator operable to move a rod including a surface end coupled to the actuator and a downhole end coupled to the pump, and a controller. The controller is configured to identify a first impulse response and a second impulse response associated with the pump system based on a first model of the pump system. The controller is further configured to generate a second model of the pump system based on the first impulse response and the second impulse response. The controller is further configured to operate the pump system based on the second model.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a mini pottery wheel for shaping clay or other suitable materials to a desired shape. The clay is maintained upon a rotatable platform during shaping by a post member which is cooperatively engaged by the clay or other suitable material by a centering tool assembly to ensure that the material remains centrally positioned upon the rotatable platform. As will be appreciated, the present invention offers a fun and convenient way for users to form a variety of end products.

Abstract: A press-in-place reinforced seal for an interface between adjacent components, includes a cylindrical structure arranged along a longitudinal axis and characterized by a stepped-shape in a cross-sectional view. The seal is pressed into a first component and compressed by a second component when the seal is installed within the interface. The stepped-shape includes a compliant first section having a first width along the longitudinal axis and a first length orthogonal to the longitudinal axis. The first section is compressed by the second component and generates sealing pressure between the first and second components when the seal is installed. The stepped-shape also includes a rigid second section affixed to the first section along the first length for stabilizing the seal structure. The second section has a second width along the longitudinal axis and a second length orthogonal to the longitudinal axis and greater than the first length.

Abstract: The present invention provides an easy settable stretch fabric comprising three types of yarns: a rigid fiber, an elastic fiber, and a low-melt fiber, wherein the low-melt fiber comprises low-melt polymer which can be fused in the temperature between 60° C. to 200° C.?, being higher than the temperature used for normal textile process and household laundry, but lower than the temperature used for heat setting elastic fiber. Abstract: A mobile medical imaging device that allows for multiple support structures, such as a tabletop or a seat, to be attached, and in which the imaging gantry is indexed to the patient by translating up and down the patient axis. In one embodiment, the imaging gantry can translate, rotate and/or tilt with respect to a support base, enabling imaging in multiple orientations, and can also rotate in-line with the support base to facilitate easy transport and/or storage of the device. The imaging device can be used in, for example, x-ray computed tomography (CT) and/or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) applications.
