  • Publication number: 20240195808
Abstract: A system and method for authentication a user attempting access to a service is disclosed herein. When a user attempts to gain access, a client associated with the user generates a unique authentication code that is stored at a callback server associated with the client. The user accesses an authentication server associated with the service and provides the authentication server with standard login credentials. The authentication server also obtains the authentication code from the user. If the authentication server successfully verifies the user's credentials, then the authentication server transmits a code validation request to the callback server to validate the authentication code. The callback server verifies that the received code matches a stored code and is current, and then issues a reply message to the authentication server. The authentication server grants or denies the user's access request based on the reply.

Abstract: A device for providing a preliminary alert to the driver of a vehicle of an approaching overhead obstacle of a given height. A horizontal clearance bar is pivotally attached to a vertical support post which allows the clearance bar to move, after contact by a vehicle, to alert the vehicle driver to an upcoming obstruction without damaging the vehicle. The clearance bar is mounted at a slight angle with respect to the support bar, allowing it to use the force of gravity in returning from an extended position to an initial rest position. The vertical support has mounting holes on either of two opposing sides in a particular pattern which allows one clearance bar to be mounted on either side, or a pair of clearance bars to be mounted on opposite sides of the vertical support by merely flipping the position of one of the clearance bars relative to the other.

Abstract: Three-dimensional (3D) resolution of a single photon avalanche diode (SPAD) based eye tracking system is enhanced through sensor and/or light source steering. The light source may illuminate the whole eye, while the sensor and/or one or more mirrors associated with the sensor may be steered to capture images of different portions of the eye. The images are stitched to achieve a high-resolution, full view of the eye. Alternatively, the sensor may capture a low-resolution image of the whole eye and be steered to capture multiple low-resolution images, which may be used for interpolation and creation of a high-resolution image of the eye. Both the light source and the sensor (and/or the mirrors) may be steered to illuminate and capture images of different portions of the eye, which may then be stitched to achieve a high-resolution, full view of the eye.

The electrode also includes a current collector fixed to the electrode substrate and having a three-dimensional (3D) porous structure defining void spaces. The electrode additionally includes active material particles arranged within the void spaces. Charging the battery cell reversibly deposits transient ions onto the active material particles and expands the active material particles into the void spaces of the 3D porous structure and discharging the battery cell extracts the transient ions from the active material particles, such that the active material contracts out of the void spaces of the 3D porous structure.
