Abstract: A wearable glucose monitor may include a compact having an antenna positioned on a housing of the glucose monitor to allow the size of the antenna to be larger than a printed circuit board of the glucose monitor positioned internal to the housing. The antenna may be communicatively coupled to a wireless communication device, such as a transceiver on the PCB, to transmit glucose level measurements to an external device through low-frequency radio signals. In some aspects, the antenna may be configured to be distributed into multiple sections positioned on different sections of the housing and connected to form a complete antenna.
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including a method for preventing fraud. In some aspects, a method includes: receiving, from multiple client devices, a measurement data element that includes a respective group member key and a group identifier for a given conversion as a result of displaying a digital component. Each client device uses a threshold encryption scheme to generate, based at least on network data that includes one or more of impression data or conversion data for the conversion, a group key that defines a secret for encrypting the network data and generate, based on data related to the application, the respective group member key that includes a respective share of the secret. In response to determining that at least the threshold number of measurement data elements having the same group identifier have been received, the network data is decrypted using the group member keys in the received measurement data elements.
Abstract: A cable retention clip can include a structure retention section and a cable retention section. The structure retention section can have a clamp body having a base wall and two side walls forming a planar slot therebetween. There can be at least one grip element in the slot that is coupled with at least one of the two side walls. The cable retention section can be coupled to the structure retention section. The cable retention section can include a clip body defining at least two cable retention channels. Each cable retention channel can have a cable opening (e.g., slot into lumen) that extends the length of the respective cable retention channel to form a C-shape. Each cable retention channel can be parallel with each other cable retention channel. In some aspects, the clip body defines at least a pair of the cable retention channels forming a ? shape.

Abstract: Apparatus uses engineered collection media to recover mineral particles in a mineral extraction process, e.g., for processing a tailings stream at the end of a flotation separation process. The engineered collection media are added to slurry/tailings containing the mineral particles. The engineered collection media have collection surfaces coated with a chemical selected for attracting the mineral particles to the collection surfaces so the engineered collection media becomes mineral laden media in the slurry/tailings in a loading stage. The apparatus include three stages: removing unwanted material from mineral laden media; using a stripping agent to strip the mineral particles from the mineral laden media; and separating the engineered collection media from the mineral particles and the stripping agent. The stripping agent is reused for stripping, and the engineered collection media are returned to the loading stage. The engineered collection media can have a smooth or foam-like surface.

Abstract: A technique for tracking, for example, the temperature of one or more sample vials containing biological material stored in a low-temperature shipping vessel. Each sample vial has vial electronics that senses temperature and transmits temperature data to the reader head of a reader device, which has a controller that is not at the low temperature. In some implementations, the shipping vessel has a cap with a recess that houses the controller and a hollow plug that houses a cable that connects the controller to the reader head that is located in the vessel's cold interior sufficiently close to the sample vial to enable interaction with the vial electronics. In some implementations, the reader head transmits electrical power to the vial electronics. By tracking the temperature of individual sample vials rather than the temperature of the vessel interior, more-relevant temperature data is available.

Abstract: A refrigeration system includes a controllable valve positioned downstream from one or more low-temperature compressors. The controllable valve receives compressed refrigerant from the low-temperature compressors and directs flow of the refrigerant to one or both of (i) medium-temperature compressors downstream from the controllable valve and (ii) one or more evaporators based on an operation mode of the evaporators.
