  • Patent number: 12005151
Abstract: An integrated light device for invocation from a smartphone includes an antimicrobial light wavelength emanating from a utility light portal of the smartphone. Antimicrobial light, such as those in the so-called UVC range (about 222 nm wavelength) have been shown to effectively decontaminate irradiated surfaces against COVID-19 and other harmful depositions on the surfaces, with minimal harmful radiation to humans. Replacing or controlling a smartphone utility light, such as the LED responsive to a “flashlight” function, allows the personal device to be invoked to quickly irradiate surfaces prior to use, such as sitting, eating, opening doors, and the like.

  • Patent number: 12007792
Abstract: Described is a method that involves operating an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) to begin a flight, where the UAV relies on a navigation system to navigate to a destination. During the flight, the method involves operating a camera to capture images of the UAV's environment, and analyzing the images to detect features in the environment. The method also involves establishing a correlation between features detected in different images, and using location information from the navigation system to localize a feature detected in different images. Further, the method involves generating a flight log that includes the localized feature. Also, the method involves detecting a failure involving the navigation system, and responsively operating the camera to capture a post-failure image. The method also involves identifying one or more features in the post-failure image, and determining a location of the UAV based on a relationship between an identified feature and a localized feature.

  • Patent number: 12008695
Abstract: Various methods and systems are provided for translating magnetic resonance (MR) images to pseudo computed tomography (CT) images. In one embodiment, a method comprises acquiring an MR image, generating, with a multi-task neural network, a pseudo CT image corresponding to the MR image, and outputting the MR image and the pseudo CT image. In this way, the benefits of CT imaging with respect to accurate density information, especially in sparse regions of bone which exhibit with high dynamic range, may be obtained in an MR-only workflow, thereby achieving the benefits of enhanced soft-tissue contrast in MR images while eliminating CT dose exposure for a patient.

  • Patent number: 12010751
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are described herein to which dynamically provide indications within a database that a monitored communication protocol is congested or otherwise unavailable. Key performance indicators are monitored on a first wireless communication protocol to determine if it is congested. Once the congestion is determined, the database is updated, and a terminating call application server may then receive an indication that the first wireless communication protocol is congested and may suggest to another communication protocol.

  • Patent number: 12008388
Abstract: Systems and methods of transferring data from memory to manage graphical output latency are provided. A device having a display receives an acoustic signal that carries a query. The device determines that a wireless controller is in a first state. The device establishes, based on receipt of the acoustic signal and the determination that the wireless controller device is in the first state, a first interaction mode for a graphical user interface rendered by the computing device for display via the display device. The device sets a prefetch parameter to a first value and prefetches the corresponding amount of electronic content items. The device establishes a second interaction mode and overrides the first value of the prefetch parameter to a second value, and prefetches a second amount of electronic content items corresponding to the second value.

  • Patent number: 12008467
Abstract: Presented herein are embodiments of an improved asymmetric quantization, which may generally be referred to as improved asymmetric quantization (IAQ) embodiments. IAQ embodiments combine the benefits of conventional asymmetric quantization and symmetric quantization but also provide additional computation efficiencies. Embodiments of IAQ adopt an asymmetric range of the weights of a neural network layer, so they circumvent the limitation of symmetric range of symmetric quantization. Moreover, the inference process of a neural network quantized by an IAQ embodiment is much faster than that of the neural network quantized by conventional asymmetric quantization by quantizing an offset value of each layer.

  • Patent number: 12006006
Abstract: The present invention provides inflatable watercraft that are light weight, easily stowed in relatively small spaces and formed from inflatable drop stitch panels. A preferred watercraft is a boat having a bow, stern, keel and an open transom for self-bailing. A deck can be provided as a separate panel that is cither permanently, or detachably, connected to freeboard sides of the watercraft. When connected, the deck provides a sitting area, and enhances the strength and rigidity of the watercraft by functioning like a deck beam. Optional features include a bucket held in place by, and fitted through, a hole in the deck panel. Preferred inflation pressures are between 2 and 25 p.s.i., and more preferably between 12 and 18 p.s.i.

  • Patent number: 12010218
Abstract: A method includes obtaining a key status for a first cryptographic key. The first cryptographic key is used to encrypt replicated data of a first replication instance. The method also includes determining, based on the key status, that the first cryptographic key is inaccessible which causes the first replication instance to be unavailable. In response to determining that the first cryptographic key is inaccessible, the method includes scheduling a second replication instance to be unavailable after a threshold amount of time has passed. The second replication instance includes replicated data encrypted by a second cryptographic key that is accessible. After the threshold amount of time has passed and when the first cryptographic key is still inaccessible, the method includes setting the second replication instance as unavailable.
