  • Patent number: 12006957
Abstract: Material flow amplifiers overcome drawbacks associated with known adverse flow conditions (e.g., surface erosion and head losses) that arise from flow of certain types of materials (e.g., fluids, slurries, particulates, flowable aggregate, and the like) through a material flow conduit. Such material flow amplifiers provide for flow of flowable material within a flow passage of a material flow conduit (e.g., a portion of a pipeline, tubing or the like) to have a cyclonic flow (i.e., vortex or swirling) profile. Advantageously, the cyclonic flow profile centralizes flow toward the central portion of the flow passage, thereby reducing magnitude of laminar flow. Such cyclonic flow profile provides a variety of other advantages as compared to a parabolic flow profile (e.g., increased flow rate, reduce inner pipeline wear, more uniform inner pipe wear, reduction in energy consumption, reduced or eliminated slugging and the like).

  • Patent number: 12004440
Abstract: A header including at least one support and transport wheel assembly having an axle and two wheels. The wheel assembly is coupled to the main body of the header by an actuating system that has two actuator mechanisms. When changing from the field mode to the transport mode, the first actuator mechanism brings the wheel assembly forward from a position behind the header, after the header has been lifted up from the ground. After completion of this first movement, a second actuator mechanism swivels the wheel assembly to a position that is transversal to the header, after which the header is lowered to the ground. The two-step approach enables the changeover between field mode and transport mode without pivoting or otherwise moving the header relative to the feeder. The wheel axle may be pivotably suspended from a frame element that executes the swiveling movement.

  • Patent number: 12008331
Abstract: Described herein are systems and methods for generating an embedding—a learned representation—for an image. The embedding for the image is derived to capture visual aspects, as well as textual aspects, of the image. An encoder-decoder is trained to generate the visual representation of the image. An optical character recognition (OCR) algorithm is used to identify text/words in the image. From these words, an embedding is derived by performing an average pooling operation on pre-trained embeddings that map to the identified words. Finally, the embedding representing the visual aspects of the image is combined with the embedding representing the textual aspects of the image to generate a final embedding for the image.

  • Patent number: 12008372
Abstract: In one set of embodiments, an operating system (OS) kernel of a computer system can receive an invocation of a system call by a user program running on the computer system. The OS kernel can further fetch a plurality of subsequent instructions that will be executed by the user program after the invocation of the system call and decode the plurality of subsequent instructions into a plurality of decoded instructions. The OS kernel can then analyze whether the plurality of decoded instructions include an additional system call invocation and whether other decoded instructions that appear between the invocation of the system call and the additional system call invocation are viable for emulation by the OS kernel.

  • Patent number: 12006831
Abstract: A damper element for a vibration dampening system may be used in a body opening in a rotating blade in a turbine. The damper element includes a base member having an axially fixed position within the body opening, and a spring-suspended bearing member having a spring fixedly coupled to the base member at a first end of the spring and a bearing member coupled to a second end of the spring. With the spring in an elastically extended state under influence of a centrifugal force caused by rotation of the rotating blade at higher than a predefined rotational speed, the bearing member frictionally engages a bearing surface to dampen vibration. The spring-suspended bearing member provides a friction-based vibration dampening interface that experiences a reduced impact of the centrifugal forces of the rotating blade by providing a counteracting force reduction using the spring.

  • Patent number: 12010604
Abstract: A wireless communication network serves User Equipment (UE) responsive to an Artificial Intelligence (AI) network. The UE determines Quality-of-Service (QoS) levels for a wireless data service at geographic locations. The UE transfers the QoS levels for the wireless data service at the geographic locations to a network core. The network core transfers the QoS levels for the wireless data service at the geographic locations for the UE to the AI network. The network core receives a future QoS level, future geographic location, and future time for the wireless data service for the UE from the AI network. The network core signals a network control-plane to deliver the wireless data service to the UE at the future geographic location and the future time using the future QoS level. The UE receives the wireless data service at the future geographic location and the future time using the future QoS level.
