Abstract: A LED lighting module is described that is realized as a printed circuit assembly. The LED lighting module has a carrier with a strip of dielectric material and conductive circuit tracks printed on the dielectric material. Bare LED dies are mounted in a linear formation on the carrier. The width of the LED die formation does not exceed 0.75 mm and the area of the emission face of an LED die does not exceed 0.0625 mm2. Drivers are mounted on the carrier and are connected to drive the LED dies.
Abstract: Technologies are generally described for delivery vehicles and containers for en route food product preparation. Modular food product preparation systems that may receive food items and supplies and prepare food product(s) en route such that the food product(s) is prepared by the time the system reaches a delivery destination may include trucks, railway cars, watercraft, and similar vehicles. Food preparation process steps and timing may be determined based on travel information (e.g., delivery destination, routes, etc.), as well as, food item and food product information. An on-board controller may determine the process steps and timing(s) and control operations of robotic devices arranged modularly in a container or vehicle to execute steps of the food preparation process. Alternatively or additionally, the on-board controller may receive instructions from a remote controller. Travel parameters of the vehicle may also be adjusted based on the food preparation process and/or travel information.

Abstract: A non-radioactive homogenous plasma ion source that is power efficient with greater electrode life longevity and performance (homogenous low temperature plasma for ion formation, stability, robustness) than alternative non-radioactive ion sources for generating analyte ions of either positive or negative charge. Its compact design minimizes the spacing between electrodes, reducing the power requirements needed to ignite and maintain plasma levels. The non-radioactive plasma ion source generally comprises a housing for retaining a uniquely designed ion source that generates a uniform distribution of plasma to maximize the generation of ions at a lower plasma temperature to minimize undesirable nitrogen oxide and ozone gasses, at least one planar electrode in one embodiment, a mounting head with a gas exhaust, and a chamber with a counterflow gas inlet, and an analyte gas inlet.

Abstract: A multi-modal sensor system includes: an underlying sensor system; a polarization camera system configured to capture polarization raw frames corresponding to a plurality of different polarization states; and a processing system including a processor and memory, the processing system being configured to control the underlying sensor system and the polarization camera system, the memory storing instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to: control the underlying sensor system to perform sensing on a scene and the polarization camera system to capture a plurality of polarization raw frames of the scene; extract first tensors in polarization representation spaces based on the plurality of polarization raw frames; and compute a characterization output based on an output of the underlying sensor system and the first tensors in polarization representation spaces.
Abstract: The present invention extends to methods, systems, and computer program products for changing vehicle configuration based on vehicle storage compartment contents. At an autonomous vehicle, a camera is mounted inside a storage compartment. The camera monitors the interior of the storage compartment. The camera can confirm that the storage compartment is empty when it is supposed to be empty and contains an object when it is supposed to contain an object. Any discrepancies can be reported to a human operator. The human operator can instruct the autonomous vehicle to change configuration to address discrepancies. In one aspect, a machine-learning camera memorizes a background pattern permeated to a surface of the storage compartment. The machine-learning camera detects objects in the storage compartment based on disturbances to the background pattern.
Abstract: A device holder assembly that includes a body and a housing coupled to the body. A drive assembly is rotatably coupled to the housing. A leg assembly that includes a first leg and a second leg is coupled to the housing. A first rack gear is coupled to the first leg and the drive assembly. A second rack gear is coupled to the second leg and the drive assembly. The drive assembly permits instantaneous movement of the first leg and the second leg. A first finger is rotatably coupled to the first leg and a second finger is coupled to the second leg. The first finger has a first finger outer surface and the second finger has a second finger outer surface that are generally coplanar with the body outer surface when the first finger and the second finger are in a retracted position.

Abstract: A recipe management system includes a versioning system that tracks the revision history of templates and their child instances. Modifications to templates and instances create new records with new primary key identifiers and version identifiers. However, each new version of a template or instance has the same root identifier as the prior versions. When a template is modified, a flag is set in its child instances, but they are not modified automatically. When an instance is modified, it has no effect on the parent template. At runtime, a recipe model is loaded to an equipment model to execute a recipe on a piece of equipment. Only approved versions of equipment models are used during execution, even if newer versions exist. During execution, new equipment models can be created. The recipe management system includes an execution engine that can be hosted as a standalone executable or in a system platform.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for diagnosing cylinders in an engine. In one example, the method may include while receiving first feedback from a vibration sensor coupled to a first cylinder of the engine, perturbing the first cylinder during engine operation. Responsive to the first feedback indicating a first vibration level difference greater than or equal to a first threshold difference, a first indication of a first degradation condition of the first cylinder may be set, and thereafter the engine may be operated based on whether or not the first indication was set.
